Foreign man assaults Pattaya transwoman over noise dispute
Agreed, but never use violence. One time, some years ago in an apartment I rented, it was my Thai friends that were noisy and the Thai neighbors came past twice to tell us (quietly) to keep it down, at like 2am and again around 330am. I got upset at my friends for being so noisy and as a result, I never saw them again. I also never had anyone over for a party at that address again, where I would stay for another 7 months before I moved out. Thankfully, I've been living in a house for many years, but neighbors making noise really make me upset, regardless of whether that's in a hotel room or next door neighbors. That stated, if I encountered it, I wouldn't do anything more than tell them to pipe down. If it's at a hotel, I would tell management to deal with them. This happened to me most recently at a hotel in Phnom Penh, when a Spanish speaking couple were screaming at each other, almost about to kill one another between 1115pm and midnight. Fortunately, they stopped just as I was about to go to sleep. -

Art was by far my worst subject in college. Models are predictions of what may happen. Some are quite close to what actually happens, others are not. The laws of thermodynamics were formulated about 150 years ago, They are the drivers behind global warming and climate change. Starting with Carnot (1796 - 1832 ), these laws were developed progressively by other science luminaries - Joule, Clausius, and Lord Kelvin. Scientists have been attempting to overturn the laws of thermodynamics for the same 150 years. None have succeeded. Deniers are welcome to try for themselves. It will be like monkeys typing out Encyclopedia Brittanica, someone might get lucky a billion years from now. -

Which DATA only DIM are you using
Struggling to know what a DIM is as said in the headline. The only thing which is DIM, is someone who posts a thread without reading what they have typed before submitting. I have an AIS prepaid SIM for calls topped up monthly with Bht 20. Enough for me. Then SIM 2 is a DTAC annual SIM @ 6Mb/s, 60 GB per month, plenty for me. Cost me Bht 2300, less than Bht 200 per month. Works perfectly. It can also be used for phone calls if I want to use that old technology. However, I have just been told by my Internet provider 3BB, that I can get a data SIM INCLUDED in my Bht 749 1000/500 subscription. Sounds good to me. -

Nong Khai Border Bounce. Avoid !!!
As has been mentioned in another thread this border point is definitely one to avoid if you want a quick out-in. I hadn't seen the other thread mentioning the problems before going today and was expecting an easy hassle free border hop and it was completely the opposite. My history. 13 years or so in Thailand on mostly non o visas or marriage extensions. Last 6 months before coming to Thailand this year I was in UK and came here in october on visa exempt which I extended for 30 days. Yes I know I should have had a visa but with reports of an easy hop nong khai seemed a good option rather than the hassle of getting a visa and I plan to go back to UK again at the end of this 3 month stint. Anyway the IO (one of the worst I have faced and I've had some bad ones) asked why I was coming back in after just leaving. I explained it was just to stay an extra 2 month to stay with my wife and son. ' cannot' was the answer. Told to wait in a separate area where the same guy came and asked loads of questions saying i had to back to Laos, he said he would let me back in after 2-3 days. Anyway after much pleading and begging he relentled and said if I could show a ticket back to UK he would let me in. So after booking onwardtravel tricket he accepted it and I got in. Horrible experience but suppose I was still one of the lucky ones. As a side note, while I was in the queue they were giving anothrt guy a bit of hassle and I kept hearing him saying ' I have a visa '. -
