Not saying it couldn't happen but this is the FIRST time in my life I've heard of a fatal ankle wound.

If the shoe fits...

The Thai husband kicked some plates while she was eating.
What was he doing standing on the table?
(Yeah I know....  despite being previously married to a Farang she still eats on the floor.)

Obviously practising his Russian kick-dancing routine on the table.

Refreshing to learn that this time, farangs are not the scouges here and not to blame on Thai society ills, i mean it is not this is a huge surprise that Thai men don't make the best husbands but here's a newsflash, this is Thailand and these are Thai men, what you see is what you get...

No no no! It was the farang's fault for making her expect higher standards from a husband ?

It's the farang husband's fault.

She was only in her early 40's when he died and it seems apparent that he didn't encourage her to get a job. Instead, she stayed at home and sponged off him. After he died, any money she had saved or inherited, she and new husband blew probably trying to live "in the lap of luxury."

Moral: If your spouse is still young enough to have a job [no matter how much money you have], don't spoil them, send them off to work. It builds character and independence.

Maybe she was hoping for a nice earner when he went, or at least a bit of a pension payout monthly!!

Didn't bank on having to work again instead of being kept in luxury!

To be fair, if you didn’t know there was a major artery running through that area, it does seem an odd claim.

Not if he had his ancle around his neck performing break Dance when he accidently hit her plate…:whistling:

Sure farangs are the scourges here and are definitely to blame for all ills. Why, if it hadn't been for that bleeped farang, the poor Thai deadbeat man would still be alive and the sweet Thai lady would not be a murderess.

The farang is to blame for this death because he kept the Thai wife in the lap of luxury before he died which made her happy with him but the Thai husband could not do the same, so it is the farangs fault. Wake up you idiot farangs, you should know by now that everything that happens is your fault.

or too much blood thinning agent like viagra, in his case.  :cheesy:

Strange isn't that a lot of expats believe it raises BP when in fact it relaxes blood vessel walls allowing better blood flow and because of that the BP goes down.

That was the idea behind it until older guys ended up asking the doc' for more because it made their wives happier ?? Imagine why!!!

Kicking the plates with her food on it was a bad move.

The only things more dangerous than an upset Thai wife with a sharp knife is two angry Thai wives with sharp knives.

The consequences of any action by many is not ever thought about.

Now he was gone she was left with 41 year old Hin - he had no job and neither did she and they were always at each other's throats in the four years they had been husband and wife.

Not much loss.... him....... (can't help wonder what his 'past life' had been as a 'typical' Thai man) He probably had half a dozen children running around that he had fathered in his 'wilder' days as a young Thai guy........

No guarntee that I am right but I would say the percentages are probably in my favor....... LOL.......

And the same injury is thought to have been a likely cause of Achilles' death:

"A more likely anatomical basis for Achilles's death, assuming an unpoisoned dart, would have been an injury to his posterior tibial artery behind the medial malleolus, in between the tendons of the flexor digitorum longus and the posterior tibial vein."

Good mate of mine, German guy, now gone, a few years ago we were sitting around the pool at the Siam Sawadee Hotel in soi buakhao, Pattaya, he had his shirt off and I saw he had several scars all over his torso, so I asked him about them. He pointed to each scar and explained: "this was a bitch in Koh Samui, this was a bitch in Chiang Mai, this was a bitch in Bangkok, this was a bitch in HatYai, this was a bitch in..."
