If you had a choice between being a hated movie star or beloved teacher, which would you want to be and why?

being the beloved teacher would give you a sense of purpose, and something to keep you waking everyday feeling good about yourself and your life...

being the hated moviestar would suk, and your self-esteem, self-confidence and motivation would obviously be weakened.... however being a moviestar would mean you probably had a shagload more cash than the teacher - and if you surrounded yourself with other hated people you'd probably be quite happy...

How can anybody be a beloved teacher. I don't remember a single teacher during my younger years, or doing my Masters, that i would look at as "beloved" Yes, some are better than others but the word "beloved" would not be my choice of words.

I think it's an interesting question (might come out later why you asked it!). I would prefer to be a beloved teacher. I know some beloved teachers and that's what I'd rather be.

Some teachers are very loved. It doesn't have to be a typical school teacher like you're thinking about. It can be a teacher of guitar or a teacher of martial arts. Just a teacher!

Beloved teacher? Hmmmm. The only way I'd become a teacher is if a bullwhip was standard issue and capitol punishment could be meted out at a whim. But then I wouldn't be beloved.

Hated movie star? Only if I could star in Terminator genre movies with little story, little dialogue, little acting but mega bucks. Then I could retire, give away half of my cash to some worthy cause and be loved (at least by some).
