I don't know if he was a alky or even if he had been drinking, what I do know though is that he was the architect of his own death

Some might say he cooked his own goose

I have noted your opinion

Self inflicted problems tend to temper my sympathy somewhat don't you know

English idioms, well there is one for every occasion the one used this time fitted like a glove

They still die just like lemmings on a regular basis, you can't legislate for stupidity

oh so now he was an alcoholic as well?  no helmet meaning you have been drinking?  your slower reaction is even worse.

Friends on the scene said that he had arrived in Samui only recently to open a French restaurant with a relative who has a Thai wife.

They said he liked to drink alcohol and had probably been drinking before the accident.

But this is my last respond, because you are a lonely bored farang and they like to argue endlessly on Thaivisa   without reading the whole story.

Where does it say he is an alcoholic? People who like to drink alcohol are not all alcoholics,  all the comments are based on "they said" & "probably".

I have been reading the whole story but I don't jump to accusing conclusions like jokers and oldlakeys.

good riddance your prat, at least the joker in your alias is correct.

They said he liked to drink alcohol and had probably been drinking before the accident. This was coupled with the fact that he was not wearing a helmet and was unfamiliar with the road

So, just guessing at what happened then.

No guessing, he is dead, you can fill in the blanks to suit yourself if that turns you on

There are a few facts to help though

He had just arrived a few weeks before "FACT"

He was riding on an unfamiliar road  "FACT"

He was not wearing a helmet "FACT"

Nobody else involved in the incident "FACT"

They were guessing you claim, I think not my man

This was a totally avoidable death, because it was 100% self inflicted

He was a "VICTIM" of his own stupidity

As for the "claim" that he might have been drinking I choose to give him the benefit of the doubt as regards that

He died because of his own actions, if that upsets you so be it

He is not the first and he wont be the last

He died when he collided with the pole and suffered head injuries if you think that is a guess so be it

The same goes for the no helmet claim

I'm with the OP on this one

Those who who commented on his death were not there. Fact.

They don't know what behaviour contributed to his death. Fact.

You really are something else at times my man, this time you are just funny as well as wrong

It was just another case of irresponsible road behaviour not uncommon in Thailand, and he has paid the penalty and thats another "FACT" for you right there

Have a quiet sunday and do drive carefully and responsibly

And what ! That's a picture of a kid (and his offspring ????) on a bike. Lets assume the younger kid at some point gets off of the bike he 'literally' hasn't grown up on a bike anymore.
