I would be grateful if anyone can tell me where I can get plans of building a bungalow,

maybe ready made plans

we are planning to build a small bungalow with 2 bedrooms ,toilet/shower ,lounge and thai style kitchen for my wifes mother in sakhon nokhon.dose anyone have any ideas?

crossy, where is the cd part?? husband not here to read the thai so would like to find it and show him...

Start here :- http://subweb.dpt.go.th/pip/house_model/framehome.html and click the 'download' link.

Unfortunately all the instructions are in Thai, you have to download lots of bits to make up the CD :o

It's a while since I downloaded it, so I'm afraid you're on your own, it's all there for the taking just a bit of a hunt.

EDIT Failing that, let me know which houses you would like and I'll email them :D

will try on saturday, husband will be at home armed with beer and headphones with issaan music... will let him try to collect the 'bits' and i will do the technical downloading stuff.....

am now going to try the google sketch thingy that someone just posted about...

dont know really, just saw somewhere here; thougth this thread but maybe an issaan house thread? but its a program that u design your own house like an architecture's plans... however, i cant download cause i think i dont have enough room on my computer... its slow as it is and no available computer geeks to help me out here... type in google sketch and see examples.

since we are still living in israel on kibbutz we arent actually building a house (no money)but we do likke to play house so we build and rebuild on paper... most likely in reality we will end up living (in korat muubaan that is.) in anon's father's tree house or the cement cubicle that his sister and kids lives in now (no plumbing of any sort, walls do not meet the roof, etc. more like a tractor shed actually.

but we like to dream. and anon is a do it yourself type person in everything.

Looks like everything you need to build one.

Apparently these plans are also available (free?) from your local Amphur office :D

I had a couple of hours spare this affie, so I've fettled all the useful stuff from the government website. All the free plans are available to download here :-

Help yourselves, there's nothing dodgy, it's all freely available from http://www.dtcp.go.th/workinfo/house_model/doc_house.html just a bit easier to handle, and it's in English :D

I've not done the row houses, if anyone gets the urge to build a row of shops, drop me a PM and I'll upload them :D

what is in english? the downloads r good but in thai.

Sorry for the confusion Bina. As you've found the SITE and therefore the instructions are in English and the downloads are grouped so you only need to get one file per plan set. Just makes life a bit easier :o

Since the plans are the ones from the Thai site, they're still in Thai although most of the detail is fairly obvious :D
