What are you saving it for?

I just don't need it here? I am very happy and live a nice life?

Should I go out and throw it in the air every month?

  • Just got my notice, too. I think big picture, Thailand wants a lot more capital inside its borders. As well, MANY retirees will eventually die and not make the proper plans to have their money repatri

  • Yea, it was convenient to not have to diddle daddle around with getting the money here or arranging monthly direct deposits etc.. now I've got to do that for the next one. IF I WANT TO STAY ... which

Only if you can catch it!

You didn't answer the question, but if you are very happy,  it doesn't matter.

Actually my GF makes more than I do! And I am in pretty good shape.

Years ago when I first started coming here I decided I would wait and not rush into things.

What nonsense.

I spend more than 65k p.m. and easily meet any requirement to evidence that amount going into a Thai bank account every month.

I shall continue with extensions based on retirement - easiest way to go for the applicant, and immigration.

And, of course, it is entirely up to you what you choose to do.

Those of us who choose different priorities wouldn't dream of suggesting your lifestyle choice is nonsense so please don't suggest it is nonsense just because I choose to prioritise my families needs (both here and in the UK) to help with my choice of which extension to continue with in the future.

Easiest isn't always best for everybody. Suffering the small inconvenience of choosing to apply for a more long winded marriage extension to have more control financially is, for me personally, a small price to pay.

For a rainy day I presume. Why spend unnecessarily if he is comfortable in his monthly expenditure ,always comforting to know you have reserved for any unexpected expenses.

Since the affidavits are no longer available and immigration has issued an amendment to the police order there is no reason for this topic to be open.

New topic here.
