This morning, for the first time in a long time, the roundabout is whole again. Traffic coming down Naklua Road can now go straight round to Beach Road. No more taking a left up Pattaya Nua and then doing a u-turn.

The opening of T21 has necessitated this policy change, no doubt about it.

Good, now they need to either station police directing traffic at every junction of the roundabout 24/7 to stop idiots entering the roundabout without giving way to the right , or in other words to traffic that's already on the roundabout.. or

(would spoil the roundabout  visually but) put up very large LED signs with huge

"give way to the right" and roundabout instructional videos  playing for about the next 20 or so years  then  it might have a chance to become a fully functioning roundabout.

...... and now the roundabout is blocked off again. Looks like it was completely open for just one day. Oh well, TIT.

Probably opened as an experiment, they have to open it permanently sooner or later.
