Quickest way to send documents home

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I usually use EMS or registered post, but is there a quicker way to send documents back to UK? If so where's the office and how much to send a standard A4 envelope, how many days will it take & are they open at weekends?

Thanks for any (Samui-specific) replies ????

I have used DHL to send a standard A4 envelope with documents to the US it took a little less than a week and cost about 1,000bt. DHL office is on the left past Chaweng Makro towards Tesco, near Lucky Cow.

Thanks but surprisingly that doesn't seem any quicker than EMS.

Thai post EMS is the fastest as far as I know.

Last time I sent important letter, two days in Thailand, 11 days in receiving country.

Thailand post is the only government organisation that delivers.

FedEx, Ups and DHL all offer very speedy services. A quick check on FedEx shows a 3 day transit at 2500 Baht for an envelop. Pretty sure there are also next day delivery options from Bangkok to major cities in Europe, in which case the trick is to have a Bangkok airways staff take it to Suvarnabhumi and hand it over to a courier rep there.

DHL if not using EMS. I've used EMS a couple of times for UK, and it took about 3-4 working days. DHL to Denmark in two days, but also little more expensive than EMS.

????

I always use the cheaper 'signed for' post.  An envelope sent last Saturday from Thailand arrived early morning Thursday in UK.  Doesn't seem worth paying the extra for EMS or couriers to me.

Yep. 2 days to the UK with DHL.
