I cant find it but I am sure I read TV were trying to arrange a meeting with TI to clarify matters. Any progress with that.?

I have gotten no new info about the progress of arranging a meeting. Not easy for any group or person to arrange such a meeting with the Immigration Bureau.

I seem to remember that some years ago Thai Visa forum asked members to put forward questions to be asked of the top honcho at immigration at the time.  The questions were submitted, a short list created, submitted to immigration and then.................NOTHING

Me too. I am therefore not holding my breath for any meeting to materialise on this occasion either.
