Backstory:
I was recently admitted to hospital with a bad attack of gout (after my local doctor told me it was just old age).
I had a blood test, it revealed my kidneys weren't working as they should be.
Got given Colchicine and told to come back in a month.
Went back for another blood test, kidneys still not working as they should be. Doctor mentioned chronic kidney disease.
Had an ultrasound which showed no problem. Given more Colchicine and Allopurinol and told to come back in 2 months.

Now my problem:
I was talking to a friend who is a nurse in Surin and she said "Oh...doctors at that hospital you visited are no good".
I've read a little about chronic kidney disease and I don't really want to mess around if that is the problem.
However if that is the problem, it's not causing me any problems. I feel fine except lethargic which could possibly be due to the hot weather.

So my question is
What now? Do I get a second opinion somewhere? Do I wait it out and see what the blood tests show in 2 months?
My diet is not too bad. I've cut right back on beer and upped the water but apart from that I feel like there isn't much I can do.

Any suggestions?

I made a reply to this, somehow got lost.

Definitely you need to see a doctor - a proper specialist i.e. nephrologist - if there is any question about your kidney function.  By tyhe time you would feel ill from this it is way too late.

Before going, try to get copies of your prior lab tests.

I'm confused as to where exactly you are, your profile says Bangkok but you mention Surin. If you are in Issan area the best place is Khin Kaen University Hospital (Srinagarind), go to the after hours clinic and ask for an acharn specializing in kidney disease.

If you are in Bangkok then let me know (and what part), there are lots of choices,
