Where to buy a new Honda Wave?

Featured Replies

Hey everyone,

Thanks in advance for all of your help!

I'm new to the area and would like to buy a new Honda Wave - preferably a 125 cc. Any recommendations for dealers/shops in the area? I understand that the price is probably pretty standard from one place to the next but pluses would include:

1. English speaking sales staff

2. Room for negotiating extras - insurance, tax, accessories, etc.

Any thoughts or experience?

Best regards,

Dave

Your price will be standard as you already know... go to a few conveniently located dealers and cha5 them up... We bought a Scoopy from the Honda dealer on Hua Khew Rd just north of Maya towards CMU... One thing I would ask of any place is if they will handle the title transfer... Which they should...

also as a sideline I would venture out to the Ruamchok second hand motorcycle market and look at used...

We bought ours at the local Honda dealer, here in Lahansai Buriram. They offered a three month zero interest deal to my wife. no issues. Nice little scooter for trips around the village for ice or other items.

Nat Honda or the Honda Big Wing are the best choices here in Chiang Mai. Good service, English speaking skills, they handle everything and I mean everything for you. And perhaps most important, great after purchase service.

Awesome. Thanks, everyone!

So included in the purchase price will be the service of registration and transferring everything into my name?

What other extras should I bargain for?

Not likely to get too much free stuff thrown into to deal. We did get two cheap helmets and a light windbreaker/jacket for free, all other extras we paid for (front basket and scuff guard).

Niyom Panich near airport mall was great for us a few years ago also buying the Wave 125i

Also their service center is great for the checkups etc.

Freebies were

basket

disc lock

I think (memory fading ????  ) also as usual cash discount a bit

Thanks again, everyone.

One more question:

It seems like all the new dealerships are carrying 2018's. Does anyone know where I can find a new, previous year model (2017 or older)? Seems like I'd get a better deal this way. I would also be open to buying a previous year model with only a few thousand kilometers on it.

Thanks in advance for any input!
