Relax.

Hope you feel better after your little heart attack.

It was a stroke wasn't it ?

I'm the one who's (possibly ) having the heart attack. Just been to the Dr today and he reckons I have a heart murmur. Not classified as urgent though, so i have to wait a month to see the specialist.

If I suddenly disappear from here you'll know they got it wrong !

Only if the EU put in a hard border.  The UK won't be putting one in, and nor will Leo Varadkar.

Varadkar has said in interviews not long ago that

Ireland is prepared to install a hard border should

the UK leave without a deal

I understand doctors advise with a heart murmur you have to give up half your sex life.  I think at your age you could either give up the looking or the thinking.

You are more likely to find the Brexiteer brigade hanging out in Cyprus, the other end of the Greek financial umbilical cord. Still lamenting their high interest bond losses, and sticking the blame donkey on the usual Conspiracy Theory targets.

EU27•5 at least I think

True in one respect, but the poster was suggesting TM should have been dealing with the 27 leaders rather than the likes of Barnier & Juncker, that unelected paranoia again.

The perverse validity is that had there been 28 leaders around the brexit table there would never be any conclusion.

Would the IRA go back to violence again ?

Its a different generation now and the new generation may not be inclined to start a bombing campaign

It wasn't one sided and violence is a serious reality. My friend lives in Belfast and as much as he would like to see it, he fears reunification will bring reprisals from the hard core unionists.

Project Fear has been superseded.

The government has drawn up secret plans that include the option of slashing taxes and tariffs to rescue the economy if there is a no-deal Brexit, reports suggest.

The plan, being overseen by cabinet secretary Sir Mark Sedwill, have been compiled as a list of possible options for ministers to help offset the economic impact of leaving the EU without a deal.

The proposals, named “Project After”, have been called a “Doomsday list of economic levers”.

That’s why we had a referendum. Did we want regulatory alignment? No, we chose against that and voted to Leave the bloc. We rather like making our own regulations (and everything else that goes with them) on our side of the border.

So you and all that voted to leave chose to put your "good fence" across Ireland. Not what they are admitting to.

300 miles of Red herring. UK says no fence necessary at that point.
Ireland still flip flopping on the issue but EU ‘demanding’ one.

If you are going to run seperate trading systems then you’ll need one.

Dont try and pin this on the EU, the other 180 members of the WTO will demand, and entitled to, the same access you provide EU goods and services via that border.

What regulations do you want to enforce?

I don’t know; you were the one saying you would do own regulations: “our own regulations (and everything else that goes with them) on our side of the border.” What’s the point of having your own regulations if you don’t enforce them?
