Does this mean the Playing Style Police aren't coming today?

If you play like that, there's no need to give you grief. However, a team like Man Utd playing like you did last week you should be charged for bringing the game into disrepute

Plenty of positives from last night but the performance of Rashford might be the biggest. When he is playing well we really are a scary proposition.  As with a lot of younger players he had has peaks and troughs in form... if he could get even close to a Ronaldo type golden patch circa 06-07 then we will be flying.

Good to see Greenwood score I was getting a bit worried about the lad

Was a great chest down and finish. But his pass for Rashford's goal was almost as pleasing. He is starting to add other bits to his game which he will need.

What a contrast to the recent encounter. Reason I decided to watch a replay rather than "live"

Probably United best domestic performance of the season, player ratings seemed to agree

I thought Shaw was immense ,seemed to be all over the pitch in defence and attack and it seems to prove that his body type need continuos football, no sign at all of any tiredness or dropping off.

Only downside was an anonymous performance from Van de Beek, seems totally lacking in confidence, maybe the occasion was too much. Not showing his Ajax form. Maybe he needs to be eased into games against lesser opponents but United, in cup comps, seem to keep drawing stronger teams .West Ham will be no pushover next round and without relegation problems Moyes will be fielding his best team one would think.

Rashford limping into the tunnel is a worry ,apparently is having a scan today.

Not much more you can say about Fernandes, 28 goals in 51 appearances, not bad for a midfielder.

Haven't seen it mentioned but how good was it not to have any contentious offside or penalty decisions just 90 + minutes of flowing ,uninterrupted football,

I think VDB does what he does. By that I mean he is a number 10 who strings everything together and might pop up in the box to score a goal, rather than scoring a screamer from 30 yards.

Have no objection to him as a squad player, but I think the United fans who painted it as a crime that he isn't in the starting XI are a bit misguided.

Think he's just lacking in game time. Especially to help getting used to English football

Unfortunately as the guy who can play anywhere he might have to wait for a injury. There are better specialists in the positions that he plays, i.e. Bruno at 10, Fred at CDM etc etc... As said no objection to him as a squad player, especially because he does play for the team rather than try and steal show.

I don't watch ManU often (or Liverpool), but really, that's your best?

I thought Liverpool were the better team but didn't kill of ManU in the periods they dominated.

ManU were good on the counter.

Liverpool were naive in defence leaving themselves open.

Individual errors ultimately gave it to ManU.

Enjoyed watching a game I wanted both teams to lose.

Paul Pogba, looked like a different player to me since last year.  I don't know what Ole did but he is up for it in every game.  Key player last night.

I don't think anyone is suggesting we are playing at our best.

I'd also bear in mind that for 99 per cent of goals you could argue a defender should be better positioned and it wouldn't have gone in. None of those goals were put on a plate for us and all of them required a high degree of skill from at least one player.

Williams as good as put it on a plate for Rashford.

Was still a good interception from Cavani, quick thinking from Mason and a good finish.

Also remember that counter attacking is all about capitalising on mistakes. Same as counter punching in boxing. It takes speed, timing and a killer instinct.

"Was still a good interception...". Huh???

Some strange responses coming back from you Rick.

I was referring to ManU's 2nd goal which Williams should have cut out, he didn't, which allowed Rashford in 1v1 on the goalie, not the 1st ManU goal which went over Milner's head to Mason (Williams had no involvement in that goal).

I'm talking about earlier on in the move. How do you think Greenwood got the ball to pass to Rashford in the first place. Cavani made an interception.

Keep up!

But your comment in response to my comment made no sense as it appears as a continuation to my comment, and the point i was making in my comment - to which you have replied twice - was that Liverpool (Williams) with their naive defending gifted a goal to ManU.

Always try actually reading the post you are responding to first before you reply...it helps.

Seen nothing of Craig Burley and Steve Nichol, apparently Arry Redknap has got the hump

Nicol took the @Bredbury Blue line... Focused on scousers mistakes rather than give us any credit.

I saw some of that complaining they had a 19 year old defender, we had a 19 year old attacker we are not complaining,

Do you guys not read people's posts?  I said "Individual errors ultimately gave it to ManU" and "Williams as good as put it on a plate for Rashford". I did not make any complaints (couldn't care less to be honest).

To be fair, Liverpool's 19yr old Rhys Williams is probably Liverpool's 4th or 5th choice CB, made his debut 4 months ago, has featured in 12 games and probably only played because they are screwed currently at CB, whereas 19yr old Greenwood made his debut 16months ago, has played in 76 games and is very much part of your 1st team squad, so not exactly a great comparison.
