Leiceter 0-4 LFC........Not a bad day at the office! Almost unfair to single anyone out but TAA gave possibly the best all round performance by a right back that I have ever seen. Defensively his tackling and interceptions were spot on with Vardy barely getting a sniff against him and Gomez. He set up the first three goals and scored the fourth himself with a cracking shot. Superb!!!

Only surprise was it took so long to put the game to bed. Missed a few good chances, especially in the first half but can't complain too much when you visit your closest rivals and your keeper doesn't have a save to make! Defensively we were excellent with the whole team pressing vigorously and effectively despite the December fixture congestion and a 6,000 mile round trip to contend with.

Now watching it 'live' again on catch up and may even take a look at MOTD to see Lineker's face later????. A very Merry Xmas to all...especially Bangrak and Thaiwrath........YNWA boys.????

Yeah, it makes me wonder how many games TAA is worth per season. A bunch.

Congratulations on posting more than one paragraph for the first time; knew you had it in you. Being a -od is bringing the best out of you.

Nat Phillips has been recalled from his loan deal at Stuttgart. Looks like we need CB cover for a good few weeks????

Bolton lad, son of Jimmy head of Bolton's academy. Named after Nat Lofthouse. Good luck to him.

LFC 2-0 Sheff Utd.....Thoroughly professional performance. Sheffield barely had a kick. Hendo was immense again and VVD imperious at the back. Mo and Mane (one goal each) always looked dangerous. Broke the all time PL passing record with 969. 16 year old Harvey Elliott made his PL debut.

Only downer was Keita injuring his groin in the warm up. Will miss the cup game so with only 12 outfield players + kids left, it looks like Minamino will get minutes early....... 'Gini, Mina, Mane, Mo' anyone?????

That kid just can't get a run of games (Naby), looking so good of late too. Thankfully, it sounds like Matip, Lovren, Fabinho, Oxlade and Shaqiri are close to be being back. What a time to be coming back as we hit the back straight.

Can't wait to see "Mina" to get a run...

Another Derby...Another win!???? A worldy from Curtis Jones sealed a thoroughly deserved victory.

Almost unfair to single out individual performances as everyone, man or boy, played their part...but I will!. Bit nervous at the back initially. Perhaps understandable given that apart from Gomez (a veteran at 22) the rest of the back four hadn't even played a PL game between them! And anyway, our reserve keeper was always in position to back them up! Once they'd sorted out how to defend against 'Hoofball' there were no dramas. Williams, in particular, was excellent raiding forward. Hope Citeh aren't looking out for another new right back cos he'll have to wait for his chance at Anfield with TAA in front of him.

The pressing in midfield and up front was every bit as good and effective as the first team's. Lallana helped his case for a contract no end and conversely, Chiravella did his chances of finding a decent move no harm at all. Elliott (16) and Jones (18) ran three international full backs ragged. One booked, one subbed and the third didn't get a kick!

As for Minamino, he played the Firmino role, found space well and was neat and clever in possession, combining especially well with Elliott (who played the Salah role in the main). Missed one decent headed chance and visibly tired in 2nd half . As he hadn't played or trained since early December when he played against us for Salzburg that was understandable.

Biggest problem we'll have is keeping hold of the kids as now they've had a taste, they'll be wanting more! Oh, and did I mention Jones's worldy? Happy Days????

Got an excellent group of youths coming through lads. As Wilai says, keeping hold will be an obstacle but my view is to let them go if they aren't prepared to fight and be patient.

Agree mate....but I hope Jones shows as much patience as Foden has for you guys. Voiced his frustration about lack of minutes after last night's match, and he won't be short of suitors.

First of the kids goes on loan. As expected, Brewster is off to Swansea. Re-united with Steve Cooper who was formerly LFC Academy coach and also RB's manager when he was with England U17s.

Picked up a goalscorer from Brentford to replace him...Joe Hardy, ex Man City kid.

Surprising purchase on the face of it but partly due to injuries, we are short of experienced u23s following Brewster's loan. Reckon we got him to take the weight of the 16-18 year olds we currently have up front while they develop. And you never know, he could be a late developer himself.
