After two famous Bangkok residents took the law into their own hands to damage cars blocking their drive comes news that another "furious aunty" is at work in Khon Kaen.

After pictures were shared online Thai Rath went to Soi Adunyaram in Muang district of the north eastern Thai city.

Cars have been splattered with mud, messages have been scrawled on windshields and motorcycle tires placed on bonnets.

It is the work of "Aunty A" (an assumed name) who is furious that she can't get earth movers into a plot of land she owns due to parked cars. She says her time is being wasted.

But people who have parked in the area for years say they have every right to do so.

And they want action against the woman for damaging their vehicles.

Thai Rath called the woman an example of "Aunty 2018".

Actually the Furious Aunties in BKK should be taken to task for damaging the truck.  I'm still trying to understand why the authorities haven't charged them.  Much more interested in charging the driver of the truck.  The Furious Aunties must have friends in high place who protect them.

Actually they have been charged, court case is in a couple of months. Recent story about that in the “other” paper that we are not allowed to link to.

As for this case, why does n’t she just park her car there when one of the others move ?

Wonderful people, these 'aunties', helping to keep the roads clear of obstructions, contributing to the development of the country and helping enforce the law of the land.

More power to aunties' elbows, say I!
