PHUKET:-- A woman was crushed under the wheels of a 10-wheeled truck on Phuket’s busy Thepkrasattri Rd this morning (Dec 18).

Capt Eakkasak Kwanwan of the Thalang Police was notified of the incident at 9am.

He along with fellow officers and rescue workers arrived at the scene, near the Highways Police office in Moo 5, Muang Mai, in Thalang, northern Phuket, to find the Phuket-registered earth lorry parked by the side of the road.

Oh no! Not more posts about motorcyclists and heavy goods vehicles. At least in this case the lorry driver was driving recklessly as cited by the police.

If both vehicles traveling same direction side by side and the motorbike touches the truck losing control and falls under the truck wheels how is that that the truck driver  gets done for reckless driving, unless the truck moved over and pushed the motor bike. Nothing clear here, no evidence.

At least she didn't have her child on it with her.

Like so many selfish, brain-dead morons do here, Thai and Western alike.

Yet another reason for you not to visit 'exploitation island ' then!

The report gives no indication why the vehicles "came into contact".

Could well have been a pedestrian, idiot driving against traffic, dog or whatever that caused the poor woman to swerve.

Driving side by side with such a big vehicle?

Avoid whenever possible.

There must be thousands of similar depressions in the tarmac all over Thailand. Rip shocking way to go????

Rolls Royces would be more suitable, don't you think?

No need.

Simply show that you have an IQ above a single-digit by not putting your child on your scooter/motorbike and then taking them onto Thai roads.
