Vientiane Hotels

Featured Replies

Anyone stayed in any of the more up market hotels?

Any opinions on any of them?

wrd up.. Stayed in the Lao Plaza at the begining of tha month I think it was around $100 a night after a little bartering, it was for 2 sharing ( I could take a hoe back if I wanted ). The other option was $90 a night but if I got a biiatch the frontdesk would have wanted another $30 to get her to my room.

LAN internet from yer room which is quite fast, they got about 5 modems hooked up or summit. A bit of advice is to take a patch cable with ya and it will be free, simply plug and play. If ya dont its $10 per day for the cable and "configuring" yer laptop.

Im fairly sure this is the best hotel in Vientiane, the Cambodian prime minister etc were there while I was...

Its basically a 4* but u get all the trimmings u come to expect from a 5* :o

Stayed in Novotel last month. Generic, clean, Rooms like holiday Inn in US ca 1970. Terrible food. Decent massage and health club, Pool is clean, paid about 60usd. Next time I will stay in Guesthouse called "Le Parasol Blanc"also has a pool.

Douang Douene Hotel used to be aorund US$20-30 and was fine for my liking. Air con, clean, basic, good area near the river and walking distcne to everything icluding nightspots. Pay any more for hotels and its a waste I reckon.

forgot to mention.. The food @ Lao Plaza is some of the best hotel food ive eaten, totally overpriced, but probably worth it..
