When marrying and registering it at the Ampur you end up with 2 documents,

1. a marriage certificate ( Kor Ror 3) which simply records the names of the people marrying, the place, and the date, the registration number and the registrar.  This seems to be the one wanted for all visa applications based on marriage.

2 a marriage registration document (Kor Ror 2) which records information at the time of the marriage about the two parties. There is a  memorandum section on it with answers to a number of questions put by the registrar to each party including about properties of each party, which you can both simply decline if you wish and it then records that fact. Or you can declare each party's property.

My questions are 1. what is the purpose of the marriage registration document? 2. When might it get used/ relied on? 3) What is the effect of a) declining to have property details declared on it, and b) declaring property?

With thanks to all who find the time to respond!

I think you meant to write Kor Ror 2 marriage registry. (edit: I see you changed it)

Immigration want it when you apply for an extension of stay based upon marriage. Most want a updated copy of it from a Amphoe to prove your are still married.

Not sure about the memoradom portion since mine only has info about myself, my wife and the names of our witnesses and the official who approved our application on it.

It could be that the memorandum portion is only kept in their files since we never got one when we got married. All we have is a printout of it from an Amohoe.
