A Facebook post has gone viral as an New Zealand migrant to Australia has listed everything she’s thankful for since she’s moved to the ‘lucky country’.

Deidre Samson’s post went viral, with over 2,000 likes and over 400 comments, before she made her page private.

The New Zealand mum told the Daily Mail: “I'm a single mother of three and the opportunities in this country are nothing short of endless.

“We made the move in November of 2015 and decided to settle on the Gold Coast, and haven't looked back.

“I work full-time to support my family, I just wanted to display my gratitude for this wonderful country we are all proud to call home.”

The gushing post starts off positively, with Samson saying: “Feeling blessed."

She continued, "Thank you Australia for your cheap food, cheap petrol ($1.03 atm) and your free dump/tip policy”

The single mum then goes onto to give thanks for the benefits she receives from the government and the “amazing” wage rates within Australia.

Samson also gives thanks for free medical care and the $2,000 dental allowance given for each of her children up to the age of 17.

“Thank you for making all our medical free, and giving my children $2000 every 24 months towards their dental up to the age of 17 years. Thank you for giving me free emergency dental care for the rest of my life and other concussions (sic) with my health care card.”

Samson highlighted all the free activities that are available in her local area and was extremely thankful for them, as well as being thankful for the level of education that is provided for free.

“Thank you for all the free education you offer our children, teenagers and adults in all schools and most training institutes level 3 & 4 studies.”

Samson goes on to thank the country for accepting their NZ qualifications, paying superannuation and the standard of medical care in Australia.

“Thank you for your short hospital waits and amazing maternity care.

"Thank you for your free doctors that visit you at home. Actual doctors that come to my house for free.”

Samson has no desire to move back to New Zealand, nor do her parents who are looking to relocate to the Gold Coast with her.

“I just wished we moved sooner, I hope Aussies realise just how good they have it,” Samson gushed.

How do you identify specific people 'downtown' receiving welfare benefits given most Australians are receiving some form of welfare.

When is the lastime boat people arrived on Australian territory? Economic refugees are rejected.
