I hope someone can help me with a slight problem.

 

I have filled in most of the Affirmation of marital status form for the UK embassy, except the part where I have to provide the place of marriage. 

 

We are registering the marriage at her hometown’s Amphur and then having the wedding ceremony at a later date. Do I write her home’s address or do I put the local Amphur as the the place of marriage? 

All advice is appreciated.

Marriage takes place at an Amphur Office.

But how you will know which office in advance is a mystery, as some offices make it difficult for foreigners.

(when I did it 10 years back, no such question was asked)

Once you actually marry, the answer will be self evident!

 

the latter home ceremony is just for the family and photos...

the marriage must take place at the amphur on the affirmation, so you have to know before the affirmation..

 

that's what I was told at the Embassy last year.

I am registering the marriage at the Wichian Buri Amphur, so do I just put that down as the place of marriage?
