Just got my VN e-visa.  Took 4 days.  Like others, I am tired of the VOA and the with full page visa that goes in your passport.  This looks great.  No visa in the passport.

Have you already entered VN? So, with their e-visa, you just go straight to passport control like in Cambodia with the printout of the visa in hand?

Oops, answered in post No. 4 above.

  • It's been up and running, and smoothly for around 1 year. Several past very detailed thread here on TV.   Used it several times, works like a charm;    - Get e.visa on line, check

I'm assuming this E part is just for tourist visas, and you can't use it to apply for/receive the 1-year multiple entry (90 days per) visa that's available to Americans at least from the Vietnam Embas

  • Is this news? I used it last year and went to the very last immigration line in HCM because it was the shortest. The I/O took a look at my E-visa, closed her gate and said "follow me".  We walked alll

I take it this is different to Visa on arrival as per this site ?

This is a commercial site, not the VN government site. With the government service, you bypass the Visa on Arrival window and go straight to passport control with a printout of the government issued permission.

Bugger , pity I didn’t read this section first before I applied
