Suspended jail terms, bikes seized for "Big Bikers" caught doing wheelies on the highway

 

 

The court in Khon Kaen has ordered three big bikers jailed for three years after they were filmed doing wheelies on a main road in the north eastern Thai province.

 

The prison terms handed down to Suchong, 26, and two youths were suspended for a year.

 

The court fined each biker 2,000 baht, ordered their bikes seized and gave them 24 hours community service each, said Pol Lt-Col Nonphurit Dechathanadun on Saturday.

 

The three had given themselves up to Muang Khon Kaen police after a video attracted much attention on social media.

 

They were charged under regulation 43/8 related to negligent driving and reckless endangerment.

 

They were due to meet probation officers today.

Wish they did such a thing too with dangerous car drivers. Plenty of those too. Goo dthat they got these guys this is just not done on the road.

Army guys at a check point lately asked me to perform a wheelie for them, as they liked my (loud) bike.

Something wrong...?

Very odd witch hunt against big bikers, when you can see 10x more dangerous stuff being done by hundreds of riders and drivers in any Thai intersection daily.

OK, let's be consistent with all motor vehicles now.  Of course, this is another reactive arrest, considering the police don't police
