Since when was it acceptable to lie about this blatant conflict of interest while campaigning?

Trump is a real estate developer. It was his business, not a "conflict of interest". And while there absolutely no evidence that Trump lied about anything, he is under obligation to tell the truth to the media.

While campaigning he said he had no business interests in Russia when he had Cohen actively seeking a real estate deal in Russia.  That is both a lie and a blatant conflict of interest, especially since he made it clear during his campaign that he wanted the US to be friends with Russia.

Trump has also bragged about the money he's made selling property to wealthy Russians with Kremlin connections.  That's acceptable for a private real estate developer, but an obvious conflict of interest for a politician.

There’s no law barring a candidate who doesn’t already hold office from continuing to do business during a campaign

It isn't illegal or criminal for private citizens to do business with Russians

You stubbornly ignore the fact that Trump lied about his links and ambitions regarding Russia.  Willful ignorance to the extreme.

Um, "no evidence" applies to Trump COLLUSION with the Russians to sway the election. That is what the investigation is about.

Of course the Russians ( and the Chinese, North Koreans, ? South Koreans, etc ) and several other countries with internet capability attempted to interfere with the US election. it's what countries do. The US has a habit of interfering with other countries political system- Cuba, Chile, etc.

To believe that only the Russians interfere with other countries elections is to live in an alternate reality.

I remember when Comey was sacked, and I think it was for more than investigating anything.

The investigation is about Russian interference in the election, and any crimes uncovered during this investigation.  Trumpies stubbornly ignore this.

By Trump's own words, he fired Comey because of "this Russia thing".  https://www.cnn.com/2017/05/12/politics/trump-comey-russia-thing/index.html

Would you prefer going back to the cold war, and potentially a nuclear war that would kill off billions of humans?

I'd rather the US was friends with Russia.

No, I don't want to go back to the cold war, when the Soviet Union dominated regions that have since become independent nations and the Warsaw Pact countries that are now free of Russia and have no desire to be under its thumb again.  Trump is abetting Russia in its attempts to re-assert this dominance.

BTW: I know more about the cold war and the consequences of a nuclear exchange than you.  That is why from the moment Trump announced his candidacy I routinely asserted that he is in no way competent to hold the nuclear codes.  Unfortunately people are in firm denial of the threat and consequences of nuclear war.

Why don't you provide links to sources that support your fantasy claims?

Not long ago he was touting the impending prosecution of AOC for $850,000 in campaign money fraud. I couldn't find that one on Fox. Not even on Breitbart. So whatever sources he does get his information from, you should probably get vaccinated before you enter them.

Your news source is Tucker Carlson?  That explains a lot.  I hope you know that he is not a journalist, he is what is politely known as a pundit--a ranting loony put on television to entertain the easily amused.

If there were any truth to your post you could find credible sources to support it.  However I don't think you are the sort who does research.  Much like Tucker Carlson.

Tucker has the best reasoning of all political analysts I have seen and he has a cute puppy stare to boot.

Funny how none of Tucker's fans can accurately post his reasoning or give sources for the evidence that supports it.
