A couple of golfing superstars, Adam Scott, from Australia & Thongchai Jaidee from Thailand, participating in this week’s Johnnie Walker Classic golf tournament, were joined by Vorathep Rangchaikul, President of Diageo Moët Hennessy Thailand. They tried to get a hole-in-one on a floating green at the Sheraton Grande Laguna hotel lake yesterday to launch the Johnnie Walker Classic, Asia’s premier golf event, which tees off at the Blue Canyon Country Club on Thursday, March the 1st, through to Sunday, March the 4th. In the publicity stunt, the golfers teed off from a specially-constructed tee in the Sheraton Hotel lobby and aimed to hole out their putting shots on a floating ‘Striding Man’ green in the middle of the Sheraton lagoon. After the event, Adam Scott, previously ranked number 3 (now 4) in the world, told us, how he enjoyed it and his hopes for the main tournament:

As sponsor of this forum, I will make a totally blatant promotion by advising that my hotel is actually the closest hotel to the Blue Canyon Golf Course - about 10 minutes by car . . . :o
