Nuclear War Scenario

Featured Replies

I really need to get a life.

I have just wasted 10 minute reading about 'nuclear war' on a Thai Visa Forum.

I hope that nobody starts a thread on; 'are you prepared for an invasion by alien muslims from outerspace?' because I will probably end up wasting time reading that one too.

There must be something better for me to do

Obviously not, G. :o

Don't cry to me when it happens. Inet will probably be down anyway. ESP? And, um, Muslims in outer space? I don't think so, coz they would not know which direction to face to pray towards Mecca.

And alien from outer space? OK...your phrasing.

Years ago a guy in the Royal Observer Corps told me that the best place to be during a nuclear attack was somewhere you would say, "what was that noise?'.

I'm only new here so can someone explain to me what this post and half of the other crap this OPer posts has to do with living/working/travelling in Thailand.

How is she allowed to continue doing it?

I think if it was a human of a different gender it would have been pulled up long ago.

Isn't bedlam a nuke free zone?

Can we drop this one on the ducky's head?

Boy scouts, always be prepared. If you are not an immediate casualty, what are you going to do to stay alive? Bunker already dug and stocked?

Sometimes I think about this scenario but its more a survival fantasy than anything else.

I pack my 100kgs of rice and 50kg of dried vegetables into the 4 wheel drive, along with 100L of petrol and 100L of water, all of which I have pre-purchased. In goes my solar panels, laptop, radio, desert island books, camping gear, kerosene stove, then I go for a long drive away from the city and into the countryside. I return when the war and nuclear radiation is over to live among the radiation mutant survivors.

And, um, Muslims in outer space? I don't think so, coz they would not know which direction to face to pray towards Mecca.

Face downwards, every cycle of the planet :o

If war is imminent, I will go to the nearest target of interest and try to catch the bomb on the tip of my tongue like a snowflake.

If you try and Nuke me I will Nuke your face.

The US have done alot a nuke test on me, the last one actually gave me a little bruise.

I'd get tooled up and occupy the local off-licence :o

What an interesting topic. If it happens, it happens. Agree with kerryd, of little effect or of massive effect, wait and see and if you still alive, cope!
