anyone know of a van hire company in Pattaya or vicinity ( a small light truck/closed van - not a minibus ! ) which I can do a home removal with ?

thanks for that but SP Car rentals appear to be just that "car rentals" not an/truck rentals 

U not thought about hiring a songtheaw for the job...many folks do here :thumbsup:

They always had pickup trucks parked there every time I drive past..I rented one from them years ago and drove it to Chaingmai.


If you want a bigger truck then look around for the sighs  stuck on lampposts/electricity posts

"4-6 lor rup jarng"   that means a 4 -6 wheeler truck for hire  but these will come with driver and maybe helper to help you move.

ok many thanks for the info - I will go over to SP car rentals and enquire !   A Songtheaw not quite big enough and is open / not secure .

The pickup trucks  for rent at SP are not enclosed..I don't recall seeing anywhere that rents out "panel vans"  or "Transit" vans as we call them in the UK..even the  big 6 wheelers that come with driver are open topped ..they just throw a tarpaulin over  and tie it down to keep rain out ( a bit)
