Sex Mex! Taco seller complains about sex toy sales outside his restaurant

A Mexican restaurant owner has had enough of a stall selling sex toys and sex aids right outside his store.

 

Patrons have to struggle past the vibrators and Viagra to get inside his shop. 

 

He is convinced that persons of influence are behind the stall that he says has threatened his staff. 

 

Dechapong Jantharusorn, 35, the owner of Sunrise Taco at the end of Silom Soi 4, said he had told the local cops who did nothing after the owner of the stall said he rented from him.

 

That was a lot of nonsense, he said. Dachapong said that he had rented there for nearly 5 years and the sex store soon came along. After a crackdown they disappeared but then they came back.

 

They were annoying and blocking his frontage and now were even intimidating his staff when asked to move on. 

 

He is convinced that influential figures are behind this brazen law breaking so yesterday he went to the Crime Suppression Division to ask them for help. 

 

Pol Col Thongchai Yookate promised to investigate.

So you open a Taco shop at the end of one of the biggest sex streets in Thailand to capture the people the area attracts, and you are upset by some Somchai selling sex toys and fake Viagra at your door.

Surprise to me.....I go to that taco shop regularly although not frequently and I’ve never noticed the sex vendor.  Now I’m kinda worried about myself!

Whether something is illegal or not has absolutely no relevance in Thailand.

A bucket of water or a hose over the stall 'accidentally misdirected while cleaning' would sort it out quite quickly. Then do it again after he's found more stock. He'll soon get the idea.

I have been to that area a lot the past 12 years. Sun Rise Tacos gets more customers by being on the corner of soi 4 & Silom. The variety of vendors add to the attraction of his location & a good vibrator can only make the stuffed burrito meet the culinary delight.

Ironically the Lower Sukhumvit (soi 7/1) branch of sunrise tacos also has a dildo stall outside.
