Is there ever a happy ever after with BG?

Thaisi

Recommended Posts

She is doing her job. You know what her job is so you shouldn't be surprised by that.

What do you want? It seems you don't want to give her money and probably you don't want that she does her job. Where should the money come from which she needs for her life? Even if she would do a "normal" job it would likely be a lot less than what she earns now.

So if you want to be the only one then make an exclusive agreement with her.

Lots of guys have Thai girlfriends and wives and are happy with them. It's possible.

But don't expect the impossible.

I would never consider such a jaded segment of the female population. My first Thai gf was a mid-level official in the Education Ministry. I even took her Stateside for a vacation (no problem getting her a visitor visa because she was a government officer). My second Thai gf was a plastic surgeon registered nurse. My third was a village girl, but owned her own house up the mountain from Chiang Mai. My current one owns a restaurant very near the Vietnamese border, somewhat southeast of Udon Thani. I also had possibilities that I didn't follow up on with a beautiful pharmacist and an airline ground staffer. Do you see a pattern emerging? If you're a little further in life than a backpacker and not gross and haggard-looking, there are plenty of women in Thailand for you who are "real" women--i.e., not in the sex trade or bargirl milieu.

So you had at least four Thai partners. This means that probably it didn't go so well with at least three of them.

How about you tell us why these relationships didn't work out? Was there something wrong with these "real" women?

yes, you are right. no one ever truelly  starves here but that is a testament to how they treat the poor who cant work.

If you ever been in Isaan, you know the quality of education and how many can afford a (useless-and only paid for) university degree in bangkok..

The education system isn’t the best in issan, but I think a lot of it is parents don’t push their kids enough.

There are opportunities for the hardworking. A woman I know well  from Roiet was the smartest and most hardworking in high school. The local tetsabaan gave her a scholarship and now she is an engineer earning big money. The two other engineers at her work are also from issan.  Her sister was lazy, and now picks rice etc for 300 per day. The mum and dad are illiterate farmers.

Another woman I know from Lampang, somehow backed herself and attended a better high school and university which she got student loans for and now has a senior management position in Rayong and pays the loans back. She is the youngest of seven kids and none of her siblings are successful, they all constantly hit her up for money.

Another girl I know is as dumb as dogsh1t. But she got a job which offers unlimited overtime and she pulls in 18,000 per month.

My point is there are opportunities for those who put in effort. Thailand is a country where the cream can rise and the shit sinks. It isn’t easy, but is very doable IF they put in the effort.

so what would you do?

There is no way I would go with a “customer”.

I would do them all. As a women, no.

1) Wasn't looking for a wife, was on holiday, so what are you suggesting because I met my wife in a bar she is a whore...lol, how many girls have I met in a bar around the world and slept with, no charge of course, but as soon as one charges because she has to survive, she is a whore,

Yes, that is the general definition of a whore. It is their profession, other girls sleep with men they meet in a bar because they are attracted to them. Whores go with anyone with money.

There is a difference.

Nah.

Circumstances we married are because she had to return to Thailand as her tourist visa was expiring, a quick call to immigration by me to see if she could extend as we were getting on so well, was answered with a simple, no she could not extend, fortunately for me I landed a good IO who said that if really dug the girl and we married she could stay on a bridging visa, so I asked her if she wanted to stay, she said yes, so I then called the marriage registry and asked when the next available date was, and they said Friday, I then asked her what she was doing Friday, she said nothing, so I booked the date and told her we were getting married on Friday with her reply being, oh oh, ok and smiled at me from the ironing board where she was ironing some clothes. True story ????

2) You obviously didn't read my post, been with scores of women previously, none of them did it for me, you obviously wouldn't/couldn't understand, hence the constant text book questions.

Ok

3) Thailand full of opportunities for work, you forgot to mention if your prepared to work for what it costs for a meal in KFC, get real man.

I think your knowledge of Thailand is limited to what you have seen in the bar and it’s surrounds. There are millions of jobs that are not in a 7/11, a bar or a KFC. Those jobs are for the lazy, same as in Australia.

20 hours ago, 4MyEgo said:

4) What has her formal employment got to do with my friends and family, no one asked and it's none of their business,

Ok, so you keep it a secret. That is standard from what I have seen. My friends and family are very open and that wouldn’t be possible for me. I wouldn’t want to live with that.

Honesty is the best policy in my book.

Plus if I told my mum that I was marrying a thai bargirl I think she would be ashamed.

i think most parents would.

you see they would be as thick as you and would probably say they met theirs at a shopping centre, so why have others judge, not interested in what they would think and like I said, why open an opportunity for someone to bash her from an uneducated point in not knowing the first thing about how the system works.

99% of Thais are not in the sex game. They manage to survive and many thrive and end up a lot more successful than the average prostitute, who shops, gambles, and takes drugs.

The only ones that seem to get ahead are the ones that hook up with a long term customer. And often then they still stuff it all up

How did they survive before you came along?

6) You obviously have no idea what you are talking about, I don't live frugally and do not buy people houses and cars and don't support her parents retirement. I do have a budget of 60,000 a month, however it's more like 100,000, why am I telling you this, I have no idea, perhaps to shut you up, to add to this, I have enough money to last me another for 52 years and that's calculated on a budget of 60,000 a month.

So about 2000 baht per day. I couldn’t do it, but I know people can.

suffice to say, yes I do frequent the local water holes 3 times a week and I do screw a few of the bar girls there,

Do you you ever pick up real girls? I think that is where we differ. Thailand has millions of cute single girls. You don’t have to pay, just be half decent.

Maybe you have self esteem issues.

she has no hang ups about what men are like, and appreciates my honesty as she knows what she was getting, balls like that most men like yourself wouldn't have, you would be the type either sitting in front a screen (same thing) or going behind her back whereas honesty is the best policy and your partner knows what to expect. Before you ask, would I mind if she did, no I wouldn't, why should I, it's just sex, you know the stuff that makes you feel good, besides she knows if I was ever going to leave her there would be nothing that would stop me, same applies to me, so why not be upfront with what you like and what you don't, none of this bible controlling crap, each to their own, I suppose, I live my life, respect my wife as she does me, and I wouldn't expect you to understand squat with a brain like yours, i.e. one that has been programmed not to think outside the square.

Enough with the questions, like I said, your not street wise enough enough to understand squat, go and refer to your manuel and stop categorising Thai women,

99% of thai woman are not prostitutes, despite what you believe. I think you views come from only seeing a small cross section of thai society and have been convinced that thai women have no choice.

I have many thai friends, some filthy rich, most just normal working class decent people, but I wouldn’t consider socializing with sex workers. I think if I did socialise with hookers, then most of my thai friends would be very put off.

A big problem for me would be that you really limit your social circles if you marry a prostitute. You won’t fit in with normal people and you will just be considered a sexpat and treated as a bit of a fool.

20 hours ago, 4MyEgo said:

I might then stop categorising you as a no hoper.

Hooroo.......

One could say that only a nohoper would marry a hooker.

Thanks for responding though.

Why some men marry prostitutes is a subject that I find interesting.

Thanks for the replies.

I'm not rushing into anything and she's certainly not my "girlfriend" but from going cold on me over the weekend and hitting me with the "you miss me?" "I miss you come back soon" lines she has switched back to receptive and interested... Hmm, I wonder why that is (now the weekend has ended (not the sarcasm)). I'm no fool and I'm aware of what she does and that this is likely a professional keeping a stream of income, but there is still a sense of genuism from her (maybe she is just very good!) next time I am out I will see if she still fancies (her suggestion) of going to Buriram or Koh Samui and see what response I get, I mean I would quite happily enjoy the experience of buriram with a local tour guide as its more true Thailand culture than a tourist area, but we'll see....

As for some of the suggestions of the person she is, she doesn't drink heavily or do drugs, at least not in my company, it was difficult to get her drunk as she wouldn't drink, not saying she doesn't drink just not excessively. She has a child and when pressed about the father it was a sore subject... Again, I'll take it all with a pinch of salt.

But anyway, essentially I was just curious to others tales and stories and advice. I absolutely love Thailand and it is my preferred holiday destination, I am happy to keep exploring new parts of it and meeting new people there, this girl isn't the be-all and end-all of Thailand for me.

Get rid of her.

Get a normal girl, millions of them

You're preaching to a choir.

Your 7 11 analogy  is the exact reason why Western sexpats are looking in bars. It's the easiest thing to do with no skillset required whatsoever.

Yes I would agree 99% are not prostitutes etc, however there is a very practical aspect to relationships in Thailand, at all levels of society. Sex worker is a relative term and not defined by social status, or geography, or the company you keep.

I dated my bank manager couple of years ago and to all intent and purposes, it was prostitution, I couldn't have described the relationship in any other way. I have also ended up seeing a friend of a friends GF, who was a bargirl, it was a normal relationship, not like prostitution at all.

Its a little narrow minded to define sex workers as the ones that hang off a pole in the bar strip, there are a lot of paid for arrangements going on that look like happy couples.

Yes, but the sexpats think they are very “street smart”.

lol

They don’t get it that the street has outsmarted them.

It really comes down to where there income comes from. Your bank girl had a job, so not a prostitute, but sounds like a gold digger.

A bar girl gets (apart from drinks) her money from having sex with whatever Tom, Dick or Harry walks into her bar/brothel that day.  Or maybe all three. So is a prostitute.

My 20 year old daughter (CMUniversity student) went back to the village (near Lomsak) for two weeks at songkran ......... came back a week early, all her school-friends already have husbands and children, she didn't fit in any more.

As for the original OP, I'm always happy for a short-time after.

You had children with a pattaya bar girl? That is taking it another step up.

What will you tell them when they ask “Dad, how did you meet mum?”

Did you tell your family that she was a prostitute? I would find that awkward.

But not as awkward as forking the same bargirl ?
Got to love a good hypocrite [emoji1360][emoji1]

I've tried an English virgin schoolteacher and a Thai bargirl hooker as wives.

The English virgin never wanted to have sex, the Thai bargirl was available for sex every night.

Wish I'd jumped the first ship earlier.

How did your friends and family react when you walked down the isle with a thai bargirl hooker?

And she was available for sex every night. That is what they are paid for.

Was trying to reply to your 'what do you tell your children when they ask how you met mom'

Answer for both wives, "I met her in a bar"

The only real difference was the time between meeting and banging, 2 months for the English virgin, 2 hours for the Thai bargirl.

Come to think of it the frequency of sex was about the same as well, every two months for the Brit, every 2 hours for the Thai.

The Thai was certainly a better bang for my buck.

Wonder if some 80 year old guy talks about your 20 year old daughter like that.

Really gotta wonder.

They certainly won't be talking like that about my 32 year old British lesbian virgin daughter.

As for my Thai 20 year old daughter, she isn't allowed to interact socially with men, traditional Thai values, her choice, the first time she will be alone with a man (who isn't me or her kid brother) is on her wedding night.

I'd rather have a BG available for sex whenever I want it than some PC <deleted> wife that loses interest in sex soon as she births the anchor baby, or even before.

Yes that is a common complaint I hear from the married women I have done.

Their husbands have no idea how to pleasure them, so they lose interest in sex with the husband and seek it elsewhere from people like me, but they will still stay in the relationship for whatever reason. (Money, kids etc)

It amazes me how little the average man knows about pleasing a woman sexually. And then it all breaks down and the men need to pay prostitutes for sex.

Also, the wife costs way more per bonk than a BG, for the short period that she even indulges her husband.

All those that say men want something other than sex need not reply as I'm not interested in porkies.

So why marry a bargirl?

I'm thinking 1,000bht is pleasure enough (short time).

Not to mention buying them a house, a car and giving them children with ultra white skin and monthly living expenses (long time).

Marry a BG because one thinks that is how it will be for the marriage. Sadly it doesn't always work out that way.

I got to say the Thai bargirl worked out a lot better then the Brit virgin.

Lots of wild times and great memories from the Thai, can't think of one moment worth remembering from the Brit.

Really, you need to try both before you post an opinion on this subject.

It's funny really that life doesn't work as you think it should work, and you need to try for yourself.

The case of the English fella who kicked his wife to death for refusing him sex comes to mind.

Plus the other fella who was stabbed by his wife the other day and Colinneal and another poster here claims two of his wives tried to stab him.

Honestly, to marry a hooker you would have to be a numpty IMO, but each to their own.
