Featured Replies

hello everyone

a dell laptop model 3521 is completely dead,it was working perfectly until today when i tried to switvhed it on its not turning on

can someone help me?

i have tried removing the battery press the power key for 30 sec still not working

tried a new battery also still not working

could be overheating.

hear any fan spinning?

if fan stuck, he won't boot anymore untill fan works.

protection it is then.

And do you see any light flashing? power light, harddisk light.

It is also possible the backlight is gone, then the computer will boot

but you can't see anything on screen

(in some case you can see something, by shine a light on it and it reveals some shadows)

An external monitor would confirm.

Whatever it is, "completely dead" is perfect to analyze in a repair shop.

Most technicians will be able to tell you within minutes what the problem is.

I've got an older, but well functioning 1440 Inspiron. These machines are great, but won't start if the memory card is dirty, and most of the time it's caused by dust that comes into your machine. Tiny ants crawling in, etc...

Open the little part where the memory card(s) is, take it out and clean the contacts with a rubber ( eraser). Hard drives easily die which could also be your problem, you can take it out by removing two screws only and pull it out.

If you have a case for it, put it inside and connect it to a PC via USB. Another reason might be the main switch, no idea if your skills are good enough to open it to get to it? If you don't have such a case go to an Advice shop near your place and tell them to check on your HD, it's usually free. Should the HD be dead, they might be able to clone your old one, depending on their skills.

Even if you have to change the HD and you're running W 10 Pro, you won't lose your activation, just swap the drive and it stays activated. Only a change in the main/motherboard would be a problem and very expensive.

If it's the HD, please buy an SSD, makes your machine much faster because there's not one mechanical part in, it's like an SD card.

Here's how to remove the memory cards to get them cleaned. https://www.google.co.th/search?source=hp&ei=z2zIXPT4DZDGvwTg95OoAw&q=a+dell+laptop+model+3521+check+memory+cards+how+to+open&btnK=Google+Search&oq=a+dell+laptop+model+3521+check+memory+cards+how+to+open&gs_l=psy-ab.3...2416.14354..16273...3.0..0.150.4260.1j35......0....2j1..gws-wiz.....0..33i22i29i30j33i21j33i160.O9uH5FruV_M#btnK=Google Search&kpvalbx=1
