Danish Man Risks Prison in Thailand Over Lost Car Incident

It all started with a visit to the PhyaThai hospital in Sriracha for routine medical check-ups related to his heart condition and diabetes. After his appointment, Søren realised he had forgotten where he parked his car. Despite searching the area thoroughly the next day with the help of a tuk-tuk driver, he failed to locate it and reported the situation to the local police for assistance. Complicating matters, Søren informed his insurance company, suspecting the car might have been stolen. This action would later be twisted against him. Upon revisiting the police with three officers, they strangely directed him far from the suspected parking area, eventually growing agitated and accusing him of lying. Consequently, they charged him with perjury and coercively made him sign documents he scarcely understood. Miraculously, Søren found his car the following day with the assistance of a motorcycle taxi. However, instead of resolving his predicament, this fortunate discovery compounded his woes. Private photo via Ekstrabladet Despite clear evidence from the insurance company, Roojai Group, confirming the claim's cancellation after the car was found, the accusations persisted. Søren's initial court proceedings did not favour him. His unsatisfactory legal representation and language barriers worsened his predicament, leading to a conviction and the looming threat of prison. According to Ekstra Bladet's documents, Søren's appeal, spearheaded by a new lawyer from Champ Lawfirm, is currently in process. Until a decision is reached, Søren remains out of prison but under significant stress, facing an uncertain future in the Thai legal system, reported Ekstrabladet. The Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirms its involvement but remains tight-lipped due to the private nature of the case. The outright lies usually get found out during the campaign, and then its some action to mitigate the harm. But now its gotten to new heights. Take the case of George Santos; it seems utterly absurd how such a person got anywhere near office. But now its routine, and the lying is influential, even when found out. I know some people dismiss the role of a malign power like Putin's Russia, but this is what he has done. He has undermined our faith in politics such that "we" believe politicians are all liars, but we vote for them anyhow, like in Putin's Russia. There are a few of reasons for that. One is to shore himself up at home; there is political opposition in Russia, but its small, and the people indifferent. If he can demonstrate the Western democracies are rotten, then that undermines the messages of the opposition groups. Then there is the mission to extend Russia's influence overseas. Putin still believes in the USSR (greatest tragedy of the 20th century etc) and believes Russia is still a super power (the war in Ukraine is demonstrating it is not). He believes Russia is in competition with the USA for the souls of the world (ignoring China, and forgetting about Islam, given 10% of Russians are Muslim). He's embraced this Eurasian nonsense, which signals out the "Atlanticists" (the USA, Canada, Britain, Australia-New Zealand) as being the cause of all the world's woes, and seriously believes the world is better off without us. To win his hearts and minds, he's got to persuade the world that the Atlanticists are a rotten lot, not to be trusted, and part of that is making a mess of a societies, so that no one thinks about things like parliamentary elections again. His brutal support of Syria was to demonstrate that only Russia can bring order, not America. Its easily forgotten that despite all the flag burning, many Arabs love America. They might not like America's policies, but they love the idea of America, hence the many influential American Universities in the region. He needs to snuff that out, and disappoint them. In Syria, his policies were to ensure that the Russian navy still had refuelling facilties in Syria, which is utterly essential for any of the Black Sea fleet, whats left of it, to operate out of the Black Sea. The third objective of his undermining of Western democracies is to paralyse us. The polarisation of societies in the US, Canada, UK, France, Germany and Italy is intended to undermine our ability to come to collective decisions, react to events, and sew distrust. 5 Eyes depends on utter trust between the allies and their leadership, but now apparently, elements within the previous UK government were talking about gaming out a Trump win as a worst case scenario, and how the UK Armed Forces need to prepare for that (eg exiting of US bases from the UK, various capabilty agreements coming to an end, cessation of cooperation between UK and US forces). Trump can't actually take the US out of NATO; he won't live long enough given the process, but what he can do is to stop the US acting as an ally, follow the French approach of non-cooperation. If that happened, there are practical things the UK needs to do, such as figuring out how to secure control of Trident (or indeed, getting rid of it), canceling the F35 orders and so forth. How did we get to that point; two countries with a much vaunted Special Relationship, now distrusting each other. Trumpf is reportedly anti-NATO, and views it as a protection racket. His VP (who, as far as I can see, has achieved FA during his short working career) is even more anti-NATO, despite a service career -

The Strange Car Fire Destroyed in Protest
Picture from responders At 11:55, on 24 August a fire broke out in a taxi between Soi Nawamin 52-54, Nawamin Road, Khlong Kum Subdistrict, Bueng Kum District, Bangkok. The vehicle involved was a blue Toyota Altis without a license plate, which ran on both gasoline and NGV gas. The fire completely destroyed the car. Firefighters arrived on the scene and successfully extinguished the blaze, in about 30 minutes. Initial investigations were unable to determine the cause of the fire, as the car was entirely consumed by flames. Fortunately, there were no injuries or fatalities reported in the incident. The area is under the jurisdiction of Bang Chan Fire and Rescue Station. Further investigation, saw the fire take a strange turn. When police located the taxi driver, Sarochat, he confused that he had set fire to his taxi in a fit of anger and destroyed it in protest against what he claims is fraudulent treatment by a leasing company. The protest was also highlighted by two signs placed in front of the burned taxi. The signs alleged serious misconduct by the leasing company, accusing them of cheating One sign read, “This company is a national-level scam. They cheated me out of nearly 100,000 THB the first time, and the second time, after a lawyer told me I owed over 200,000 THB, the court reduced it to 130,000 THB. I paid off the entire taxi loan, never missed a payment, yet they seized my house without a single court notice." Police officers from Lat Phrao Police Station have taken Sarochat in for questioning. Bangkok Restaurant Owner Accused of Slapping Foreign Tourists
File photo for reference only A Michelin Guide-recommended restaurant in Bangkok finds itself embroiled in controversy as its owner faces accusations of attempting to slap foreign tourists following a reservation dispute. The incident came to light after Burapa Seiko, a Thai tour guide, detailed the altercation on the Facebook page พวกเราคือผู้บริโภค (“We Are Consumers”) on 22nd August. According to Burapa, the debacle began on the evening of 21st August. He arrived at the restaurant on Banthat Thong Road at roughly 6:30 PM to reserve a table for his five foreign clients. The restaurant staff declined his request, insisting that the tourists make their own reservations. Burapa informed them that he would be dining with the group, and they finally assigned him a queue number. When the foreigners arrived at 6:50 PM, they waited outside until their queue number was called at 8:10 PM. The group then entered the restaurant and placed their orders. However, Burapa briefly left to buy some snacks from a store across the street at his clients' request. Shortly thereafter, Burapa received a distress call from the tourists, stating that the restaurant had refused to serve them and asked them to leave. He rushed back to find out what had transpired. The restaurant accused him of violating its policies by supposedly selling the reservation to the foreigners. Burapa argued that he only made the booking on their behalf and waited outside with them. Despite Burapa's pleas to review security footage for clarity, the staff refused. He recounted that the owner, unable to communicate in English, yelled in Thai at the tourists, “What the f*ck! I’ll slap you now if you don’t leave. I’ll call the police to drag you all out!” She reportedly raised her hand as if about to strike one of them. In the aftermath, Burapa and his clients left the restaurant, deeming the treatment unfair and violent. The story sparked public outrage, with many netizens sharing similar negative experiences at the restaurant. Criticisms ranged from poor service to allegations that the restaurant had illegally occupied public footpaths.
