My car is now 10 years old.  I've been told I can no longer get Type 1 car insurance.  Is this actually true? (It seems ridiculous to me.)

And if so, is there any way can I get the equivalent of fully comprehensive insurance here?

Try Roojai.com....Fill in the online form in English...

Useless.  Their online system suggests that they have Type 1 insurance for me.  Then when I get the confirmation email they, and they (they being AXA) can only offer me Type 2+.

Thanks for trying, though.

Still leaves the question open whether Type 1 insurance is available for cars older than 10 years or not.

As far as I know there is no Type 1 insurance available for cars older than 10 years.

Not if one changes company, but quite often the existing one can be continued.
