Hello all

 

I should know the answer to this question however I've never been in this situation before.

 

I have a friend here from Australia, he entered the country just on the 30 day visa free.  A few weeks ago he was granted a 30 extension of stay using the TM 7 at Mukdahan immigration.  Would it be possible for him to get one more 30 day extension using a TM 7?

No

Only one 30 day extension of a visa exempt entry can be applied for per entry.

He could do a border hop to Laos from Mukdahan to get a new 30 day entry.

If he is the spouse or parent of a Thai he could apply for a 60 day extension to visit his family.

He can obtain 2 visa exempt per calendar yr at border. Thats apart from airport entry. If he is in bkk a cheap flight to udon thani would be one option. Jump on minibus to nong khai. Easy trip. Good hotels and bars udon.
