May 19, 20196 yr Today I remembered a story about a former, somewhat elderly work colleague whose very old mother was beset by mobility and other health problems. For some time he tried to persuade her to convert her house into 2 flats and for her to live in one downstairs and rent out or sell the other. All to no avail. Her home was her home and that was that. The day came when mother was admitted to hospital in a serious condition and doctors said she would never come out. She languished in hospital over a long period of time but suddenly she made a full recovery and returned home to find 2 front doors. Any similar stories?
