Ok i am well aware of the issues(s) Ford had with their Fiesta & its dodgy gearbox...... however I just recently had a warning light come on with a message of engine malfunction & to service immediately. I have checked the oil & other liquids, this only happens on steep incline/declines when the car is changing gears, which leads me to believe the gear box is the culprit. A simple stop & start cures the issue, anyone had this or offer any SENSIBLE advice. The just sell it comments need not be posted thanks

An orange light means there is a problem which should be addressed at your dealership; however, it is not catastrophic. A red light is an oh-shit warning which means do not proceed any further unless you have a deep wallet.

An over sensitive sensor which is probably linked to a mileage or in car ECU timer system to get money from you.????

I get the ECU light coming on in my somewhat elderly Vios occasionally, accompanied by rough idling. The fix is simple - disconnect the battery for 30 seconds, reconnect.
