Popular Post JonnyF
Outrageous comment from Trump. Khan isn't a stone cold loser. He's a lukewarm, tepid loser. 3
Popular Post DoctorG
Well this thread has gone according to expectations ???? For those of you caught up in the "nasty" comment I would suggest that we see, and hear, what we want to see and hear. He did not call her a nasty person and, in fact, went on to be quite supportive of her, but maybe that part of the interview was cropped in the version you saw. 3 2

Khan, IMO is a loser that has made a shambles of London while jetting off doing something not involved with running London. Eg, on a recent visit to London, there was not a single public toilet that I could find in the most heavily touristed area of the city. Tourists were having to pay several pounds to use toilets in Starbucks or McDonalds etc. I used to live in London and there were several available in the same area then. 16 hours ago, ThaiPauly said: I can't stand Khan and what he has done to the city I grew up in, if it wasn't for the historic places in London you would not recognise it for the same place it was 50 years ago. I will be glad when Khan is voted OUT, so good on yer Don for telling it like it is Khan has been elected only in 2016. So it is quite likely that the issues you raise can be attributed to a guy named Boris. For example, about the strategic issue of the lack public toilets, I doubt a new Mayor would consider it as a first priority. 3

His sister and brother in law is a self confessed radicalized ISIS supporters. So where do Khan's sympathies lie? So, is he a jihadi or a communist? I know Catholic clerics who have relatives in organized crime. Should they be defrocked? Maybe you should go to Boston and straighten this out. 4

Trump is the POTUS, the elected leader of our closest ally, closest friend. You may not like him or share his political opinions. That isn't the point. Khan is the elected mayor of London. A bureaucratic appointment to manage London. Not to be confused with the historic Mayor of London role. It is not his job to decide who the government and Queen can and cannot invite. He is a jumped up pipsqueak who like many of his political party pushes political correctness, shies away from inconvenient truths and realities, and tries to deny any political opinion but the doctrines he embraces. Trump was too generous in his comments for this obnoxious little man who thinks he's far more important than he is. 4

( did not happen) Don't remember Khan speaking out against any money being wasted on President Xi; or Becrow, or Corbyn. They are happy to welcome and fawn over a communist dictator who presides over a totalitarian oppressive regime. Because they dream that one day they might do the same! 3

The investigations into Vaz's unusual wealth are supposedly progressing again. The dubious politically correct Met Police stopped the investigation because Mr. Vaz said he was feeling unwell - I joke not! He was then photographed at several ethnic minority social events. He's loathed and despised, but has managed to accumulate high wealth and expenditure whilst being a career MP; and his rent boy drug and sex scandal. All swept under the carpet.

Popular Post Ulic
I may agree with SK but after his comments comparing Trump to a fascist dictator amongst other things, he would have to have expected push back. While I may think DT is unworthy of a State visit I do think he is more worthy than Chinese President Xi Jinping who got the full treatment including the carriage ride. Did Sadiq Kahn make the same type of comments about Xi Jinping? After all, he has a million plus Muslims in re-education camps and China's human rights record is right at the very bottom on the world list. Never mind China's pollution/ co2 emissions production and trade practices. 2

However, it’s hypocritical to apply that standard in only one way. It also matters not that Kahn was addressing his own government. Imagine if Trump “criticized” Congress for inviting a dignitary (i.e.a legislator, mayor of a major city, head of state) to visit that institution.
