British born and bred,as for Labour i detest them, ive said on here for a long time brexit will give us corbyn and then its a double whammy.

Well, thank you for being candid. I didn't mention Labour, although they do have a history of being sympathetic towards non-British interests ...

As I alluded to before, your comments regarding the pound seemed to be those of a man who actively disliked his own country, but perhaps that isn't so.

Perhaps you could try to sound a little less pleased that Britain is doing so badly ????

Most brexiteers have probably never left their own little corner of England and have no notion of how the pound is comparing to foreign currencies.

Why should they be concerned about the exchange rate ?

true! a hard core Brexiteer does not consume any imported stuff. he lives on fish&chips taken with a pint of "ail".

let me tell you a secret... there's a difference "ridiculing stubborn Brexiteers" and "ridiculing one's country".

My point exactly. Some people have crossed that line already. They are so desperate to "ridicule stubborn Brexiteers" that they will happily ridicule their own country. They don't even know that they are doing it.

Lenin called them "useful idiots".

Quote

A useful idiot is someone who supports one side of an ideological debate, but who is manipulated and held in contempt by the leaders of their faction or is unaware of the ultimate agenda driving the ideology to which they subscribe. The term originated in early 1950s America in reference to members of the Socialist Party, allegedly promoted by the malevolent KGB to weaken America as a nation. The closely related term fellow traveller refers to one who sympathizes with and is willing to support the publicly stated goals of the Party, while not being a dues-paying, card-carrying member. The origin of the phrase has often been attributed to Vladimir Lenin

So you don't want to see Britain recover, is that correct? You want Britain to suffer so that you can prove you were right about the collapse of the pound?

I want a full on brexit and it to be a total disaster and with a fair wind it will be the end of the Tory party. A hit on the pound is a small price to pay.

If everyone were as reasonable as you, this whole Brexit mess would have been resolved long ago ????

If you asked any outsider, 95% would say that, with regards to Brexit, Britain ridiculed itself.

P.S I am using "Britain" deliberately.

It's present position was caused by the Brexiteers. Mainly because most of them don't have a brain betwixt them.

None of them have a clue as to what it likely to happen if we crash out of the EU without a deal.

The bleat on about EU regulations, without understanding that it brings us a lot of protections against predators.

Trump, for instance, is a predator. He will insist on us taking their sub-standard products in exchange for any kind of deal.

You can see how he behaves when he thinks he has any kind of leverage.

Much harder to behave in such a way against a European bloc. They can simply refuse to take the substandard products, ignoring Trump's cries of protectionism.

Against the U.K alone, he will most definitely insist that we accept these products or he will threaten with tariffs.

So many of the protections we have will simply disappear, because of the need to do a deal.

The simplistic are won over by nonsense claims of putting more money into the NHS from the money we give to the EU. Ridiculous.

The reality is that they are hoping that the EU will blink. Because without a deal, it's not a pretty picture.

Another insulting and narrow-minded poster joins the remainer rabble.

At least for those who trade in forex, this was easy money opportunity. The profits from my positions against GBP jumped quite a lot especially from yesterday.

And it it looks like some of the predictions, that you lot called project fear, are coming to fruition. And bear in mind we have not left the EU yet ... a no deal will slam GBP even further ... so reap what you sowed.

With £'s fall from 1.45 to 1.21 against $, our $ GDP has fallen by $500 BILLION!

That's a fall of half a TRILLION dollars because of Brexit!

Never in the history of the world has a country done this to itself.

and for absolutely nothing
