Maybe verbal voting isn't so bad, at least the people can see if the ones they voted for actually vote on the commitments they made to the people, but then probably the majority of Thais don't really care.

Smacks of communism. Well done China.

Nothing like Chinese communism in any way, shape or form.

None of these people started at village level, elected by the villagers (yes, little known fact, the ordinary Chinese do get to vote), onto township level if their peers think they're fit and proper, onto town, city, provincial government and finally Zhongnanhai if they exceed the standards at every step.. Takes around 25 years.

What are the similarities here then?

if he stays in power the killing at victory mounten  about 40 year a go will be nothing to what I think will happen because the young will not stand for his corruption

Unfortunately , unless he bans something really serious and important  like Facebook and Line or posting selfies ,the young will put up with it whatever they may think.

all of the voting it's done by COMMUNIST party members, if one is not part (doesn't have the card) of the party can't vote, ordinary Chinese have absolutely NO RIGHT to vote on anything, misleading post

The 4 major parties of the coalition have between them ~17 million votes out of a total of 35 million. PPRP alone scored around 25% of votes cast.

No surprise here. Considering the  Rooster hand picked his senate with family friends and allies.

What a joke but most  thais  have forgotten already about  the election  there in for another 10 +,yrs of this moron. Good luck Thailand.

The democratic election is misleading. There're lots of flaws with democracy everywhere in the world.

They really should revamp the system.  It's full of money politics, biased constituency delineation etc.

The outcome is almost 99% certain.

And breathe...

In, out, in, out. There, do you feel better now? Maybe your shirt was too tight don't you know.

I have to say it's been a while since Steven lost the plot and treated us to one of his "go home you bitching falangs" performances. Quite like old times!

Where do these aggressively pro-military farangs come from anyway?

Literally all the farangs and most of the Thais I know don't like the junta, and this has been true since the first time I came to Thailand back in 2010. Even the ones who aren't actively against it are more ambivalent than supporting. It's pretty much only on Thai Visa and in the media that I ever see people supporting it with this kind of passion.

GREAT JOB .... he deserves the re-elected position as he has worked hard.

Many farang may disagree but really who cares as it's for the people of Thailand and it's country not the whinging bitching farang who think thailand owes them a government of their likening and nobody else's. Simple ..if you don't like it in this country then go home. It's not your country, you are a guest, the same would apply in your home country and town so stop bitching and whining because nobody is listening.  Thailand is what it is and it is governed by Khun Prayuth Chan O Cha so like it or lump it ..that's what it is.  ????

It's good to see that your true colours are being shown again..... Whinging bitching and whining about other farang. What right do you have to tell others where to live?

This is a forum where people are entitled to express their opinions without having no-hopers like you telling them to live elsewhere.

In fact, we actually like this country and it's exactly why we are bitching about the election process etc., we care for it even though it's not our home country. So stop being judgmental because your judgment and reasoning is flawed

That makes no sense. The Thai bashing never ends and any good news regarding Thailand will send the bashers in to overdrive...So now when you guys ("we")  are holding the short end of the straw you suddenly love thailand "your home country" ...I think I need a bucket
