What's The Best Bangkok-to-london Flight These Days?

What's the best Bangkok-London return flight these days? The last time I went was years ago on Qantas, which I liked because it was a short, direct flight and there was plenty of legroom. But I also recall it was difficult to book in summer because of all the Brits in Oz heading back to visit family in the warmer weather.

So what's a good flight now that's short and has reasonable legroom in economy class? My days of travelling on airlines like Bangladesh Biman to save money are long since over.

EVA AIR Evergreen de luxe class is and has been the best since they launched it sometime around 1995 i think. In those days i paid just a £50 fee to upgrade from economy to de luxe which is to all intents business class. Now the premium is around £200 plus but its still amazing value compared to the others who mysteriously have refused to compete with EVA.

Flown with them loads of times to LOS and never had any problems

I was talking to a mate the other day about this subject. I used to always travel on Emirates, as did he, but he had a chance to fly on Etihad a couple of weeks ago and he said they were even better than Emirates. The next time I go to the UK, I will certainly look seriously at Etihad, via Abu Dhabi. I must admit that Abu Dhabi airport is crap but it is not as bad as some to which I have been. Dubai airport is still way ahead of the competition, so that always makes the EK flights quite pleasant too. Don't know about Etihad pricing to the UK, but my mate told me they were very reasonable. He travelled business class and had a full sized bed and 17" monitor, so one can't complain!
