Police say they are looking for a woman in her 50s who allegedly stole three packs of durian worth Bt300 from a shop on Khlong Jilat-Sai Thai Road in Krabi's Muang district at 2.30am on Thursday.

Shop-owner Natjutha Saithai, 31, filed the complaint after durian packs that were accidentally left on a display table had been stolen.

Natjutha said CCTV showed a motorcycle with a sidecar stopping and the female passenger taking the fruit bags.

The shopkeeper said she was filing a complaint because of the rising number of thefts in the area. She also urged the police to patrol more frequently.

Not exactly a clear-cut case.

If they were 'left on a display table' people passing might well assume they were surplus and not wanted, especially at 2.30am? It looks like the 'shop' is an open area on the side of the road.

She's keen to get the police to 'root' out these tea-'leaves', although it seems it's the shopkeeper who is quite 'green'.
