Where's Harris' Concession speech?: Honey, I have a headache....
IIRC I have explained the German term schadenfreude to you before. Enjoy the moment before getting back to the miserable life you lead. -

Filipina's Viral Video Criticising Thai Women Sparks Backlash
Almost everyone I encountered in PI spoke English. And I've been there a lot. -

Liberal Meltdown Thread
I'd kind of like to get back to a new normal, where we discuss things to do in Thailand, how to navigate visas (and now taxes), and where to buy that eclectic stuff that only expats use. And fishing reports. I miss fishing reports. Plus, my usual lament... I'd like to hear about interesting activities in Thailand before they happen. So we can attend, instead of reading about them after the fact. -

Why Donald Trump Could be a Major Challenge for the British Government
"But the UK really doesn't matter much to the US." Ouch! That hurts. Nevertheless, thank you for posting your opinion, which I imagine is held by a sizeable number of your compatriots and, more importantly, seemingly by a succession of US governments (whatever their colour). The UK has a rich cultural, economic and social history and has much to be proud of, but the belief that by acting on its' own in the 21st century, it has any real influence or power in the world is imo delusional. Europe as a whole is a fading force. Imo it can only slow the inevitable decline, and continue to be important, if it acts and moves as one entity. For that reason alone, Brexit was a disaster for the UK and a sizeable body blow for Europe as a whole. -

Thieves break into Udon Thani school, sparking security concerns
Thieves broke into a school in Ban Muang, Ban Dung, Udon Thani, causing alarm among staff. A 32 year old teacher, reported the incident to both social media and at Dong Yen Police Station after the headteacher failed to take action, fearing the criminals might strike again. The headteacher summoned the teachers for a meeting to discuss the event. During this meeting, the headteacher reprimanded the teacher, referred to as Teacher A, for posting a video of the break-in on social media and threatened disciplinary action. However, Teacher A stood by her actions, asserting that she and her colleagues were simply trying to protect the school and themselves. This wasn’t the first incident of theft at the school, raising concerns about future threats to their safety. The situation escalated when the headteacher made an inappropriate comment before the meeting, suggesting that if intruders targeted the teacher accommodations, they should remind the assailants to assault before killing. This remark, delivered with laughter, was perceived as a joke, but the female teachers found it neither amusing nor appropriate, reported KhaoSod. Attempts by journalists to interview the school administration were met with refusals, as the leadership declined to provide any information. Meanwhile, the Dong Yen police investigation team successfully apprehended three suspects involved in the break-in. The individuals arrested included 29 year old Anuwat, 20 year old Worachai, and a 16 year old teenager identified under the pseudonym Bee. Thai Bank Account - 800k deposit
My point is that imo immigration should not accept some pages you download from bank app. I had issue at CW using money in bank as I had some months of no activity. They wanted bank statements issued by the bank with the bank stamp and teller signature. Fortunately Kasikorn can provide that on the spot. Thinking your experience is exception to the norm.
