Keir Starmer’s EU Reset: A Strategy Built on Falsehoods
The comment in this piece seems generally factual to me. Yes, the WA and the TCA were poor for the UK but the guts of the first one were little to do with Lord Frost, who entered the fray late on and was assigned the task of making the best job he could of modifying May's "Chequers Agreement", which was the only way to get any agreement with the EU. Critical elements of the WA were demanded by the EU and only modified by the UK, from May's midnight flit to Germany, probably had to have Merkel's blessing. The TCA was relatively rushed but Frost was under pressure from Johnson to "get Brexit done". Negotiations with the EU were already known to be lacking in the good faith department anyway and the clock was running. -

Trump Urges Israel to Strike Iran’s Nuclear Facilities
What's your problem? Analyst articles are opinion pieces. Unless you're embedded in the Iranian nuclear development / defence establishment you won't know what's actually going on. I've provided other articles for consideration - Get a life... -

A typical week on Thailand's roads
Been on MC in Thailand many tears. No problems, but scary at times! I have 50 years on bikes, so I am well aware of ALMOST any situation that can occur! I guess one day I meet the one I did not see coming! Lol! Cross fingers! -

Random RCBO Trip...What Next?
Trying to isolate which electrical cct. is causing random trips of a RCBO. With all the feed breakers (to greenhouse pumps, aquaphonics pumps and air pumps, pool pump and chlorinator disconnected), the main breaker in the garage CU still trips intermittantly. I blew out all the red ants etc from the garage CU and thought the problem was fixed, but RCBO still tripping, but not nearly as much. This only started this wet season. I don't really need the breaker to be an RCBO but installed it before the underground feed to the shed as the underground feed is Al cable (which I now know is a no no) but 7 odd years ago the local electrician said OK. The circuit: from the 3 phase mains PEA supply to a CU on the 2m block fence, then splits underground to the house CU via 3 single phase stabalisers, then a phase to the RCBO on the fence, then underground to the shed CU. So to my questions: 1. Can the main shed CU breaker go leaky and should I change it? 2. Should I replace the wall RCBO with a normal MCB? I don't think the Al cable feed to the shed is a problem, at the moment, even though the conduit probably has water in it, because the Al cable is double insulated and thicker than the recommended underground cable. This cable will be changed when I install solar on the shed. Thanks. -

Trump lost the respect of veterans – including me. He's a risk to our democracy.
If he is as you say, then why did he loose the 2020 election. What a loonie you are. -

Keir Starmer’s EU Reset: A Strategy Built on Falsehoods
Combined value of the EU internal market = $14.52 trillion. Value of the UK market = $3.089 trillion. If you are India, China, the US or anyone else for that matter, it is pretty clear which market you would look to prioritise. You give the typical Brexiter response in saying that having left the EU, the UK will avoid a decline. However, again in typical Brexiter fashion, you offer no indication about how this is to be achieved. Even if your prediction about relative decline does prove to be correct, how long will it take for the size of the UK market to approach that of the EU? As I previously said, the UK's role on the international stage is diminished outside of the EU. The 'special relationship' with the US hasn't been so special since we left the EU. The UK is of use to the US due to our NATO membership, but our importance to the US is diminished now that we are outside of the EU. Irrespective of whether Harris or Trump wins the election, nothing is likely to chance wrt the US's relationship with the UK. The confrontational attitude towards the EU adopted by Johnson, which you appear to favour, has proven to be a dismal failure. Even the hapless Truss seemingly recognised this, as shown by her attending the first European Political Community summit and offering warm words to Macron. Sunak continued to repair the damage done by Johnson and it is to be hoped that Starmer can improve our relationship further. -

Supercar convoy causes major delays on M6 motorway (video)
Arrest the drivers, heavily fine them, ban them from driving for a year, confiscate the cars and crush them into lovely, one-of-a-kind coffee tables for the owners to enjoy and to boast about to their neighbors while they wait to regain their driver's licenses. -

Need recommendation for cardiologist and internist
Thank you so much for sharing. It's definitely a lot of responsibility and very stressful trying to find the best for our parents! I've heard a mix of different advice about insurance - a lot of people are saying it's not even worth the bother so it's good to hear that it can make a difference. My dad is 80 and we were also told that it's impossible to find him something at that age. Do you have any experience to share in terms of insurance or any companies that you can recommend? -

Is Thailand Value for money
No, what are you babbling on about. I have clearly informed you that I was referring to the raw meat utilised for burgers. If I described it poorly before then I corrected that. You claimed 14 grams, I guess after cooking. So add the 9 grams of fat from the cheese and that is 23 grams without condiments nor bread. Maybe you should look more closely at my post, Mr Lawyer. I wrote about saturated fat. You see? It's easy to make errors. What is important is that you do not compound them by arguing stupidly. -
