Old new cars!

Bangkok post report buoyant new car sales. Dealers in Chiang Mai at least report the opposite. In fact at the back of one large site I have just seen many 2018 models, presumably some manufactured late 2017.

 

So they will soon be 2 years old.

 

Wondering how they unload? Rental companies? Auctions? 

Anyone have knowledge?

I know a car rental company in Pattaya who sells all rental vehicles once they are 24 month old. Regardless of mileage. Some good prices too.

This a very common practise, especially with the larger rental companies.

 

Not only are the prices good, you can be sure that they have been regularly serviced, unlike many privately owned vehicles.

In general, Thais are not bothered about customer satisfaction or company reputation. 

If stating the bleeding obvious somehow offends you, then ooopsie !!
