Silly question.  America doesn't make anything.  Try boycotting Chinese goods to make them stop harvesting organs from Falung Gong prisoners.  Yes, that would be a better use of your time.

First who buys American goods  outside of America ? I mean by that goods manufactured in the US not manufactured elsewhere for US companies.  Also, as for services does that mean the likes of Facebook ad Google ?

Just listen you to yourself and the blathering of your candidates at last nights debate......that’s why you’re going to see another 5 years of Trump.

It means avoiding American made goods and services, and where that is not possible minimizing or delaying the purchase of American made goods and services as much as possible.

People outside of America have the right to express their opinions about the American government. What the American government does affects practically everyone in the world. Opinion polls reflect strong levels of dissatisfaction with Trump around the globe.

People everywhere have a right to express their opinions and wishes about the upcoming American elections. Using your individual purchasing power to express your opinions is not election meddling. Trump supporters would be perfectly within their rights to increase their purchase of American goods and services if they so choose.

"Just listen to yourself....?" All I did was ask a question. Sorry if that threatens you. Last time I checked that was still legal in America.

No...not desperate in the least. Frankly, it's the people upset that this question was posed who are the ones who sound panicked.

But let's just stick to the question that was asked. Would such a boycott be effective?

Trump will win in 2020.  The Democrats have nothing but losers in their ranks.

I'm sure this will come as a surprise to the companies in the S&P500. But again, let's put the partisan bickering off to one side, and focus on the question at hand:

No, because Americans do not want to live in the Socialist Utopia being pushed by most of the Democrat candidates, with possible exception of Joe Biden.

As an afterthought, isn't that a bit unpatriotic, to wish for the partial possible economic collapse of your country.

Posted by a Canadian who likes Americans.

As I understand it, it is illegal for a foreign person, entity or government to give "something of value" to a candidate in the US. Not spending money to show non-support for the American government or an American president wouldn't seem to be in violation of this law. Everyone has the right to spend their money as they wish, don't they?

Start naming the products MADE IN AMERICA.  Go on, I dare ya.

I just saw you included services as well.  Your infrastructures would all fail without American Services and knowledge.  The world would end sooner than that LOON Ocasio-Cortez claims by global warming.  Another joke.

I think that depends on whether you see patriotism as loyalty to the values and ideals of the country or whether you've come to see patriotism as loyalty to a given individual.

Which US goods? Google/Android, Microsoft, etc.? Which US goods you can buy beside Apple as a privat person in Thailand. Ok, Nike.

For me as a German the Trump whining about the German exports to the USA is annoying. Is it the German´s fault that the Americans like German cars? Also the trading is equal if Trump includes the massive sales of Amazon, Google, Facebook, McDonalds, Starbucks, Apple (made in China) and so on. Not the German´s fault when these companies don´t pay taxes in the USA.

You named six American companies in the second paragraph of your post. Tons of apparel, automobiles, home appliances, software, hardware, hardware, food products, etc., sold under American labels.

Yes, under the labels but not made in the US. So it effects Chinese or Thais but not so much US citizens that they don´t elect Trump. If you boycott McDonalds in Thailand the Thai staff will lose their jobs.

True, but of course, McDonald's corporation is affected as well. I don't buy the "too much collatoral damage" argument in favor of inaction.

You started strong then the hate came out.

All of you best settle this nonsense, and learn to get along again.

The enemy is Russia, China, Saudi, etc. They're having a blast watching shit go down since the last two presidents were in office.

I'm an 'alien' one of the 'no' voters, I think a boycott of America over a President whose got just another term  -at best- and then he's gone forever, is pointless.

Even if it worked, and it can't, punishing the USA for the voting decisions of a minority is a bad idea.

Boycott all the crappy leaders, then what do you have? Everything is stagnant and depression. Very bad idea. Need to take El-Donald out another way. And yes I am American.

Could be a two-fer, after the massive layoffs among the middle and lower middle class driving more into poverty, the border jumpers would see there's no work for them and decide to stay home. You really are an American?

  • Popular Post

Anybody who cares about facts and who acts rationally would never vote for Trump.

Trump is like religion. You can try to convince them with facts but it will never work because they don't act rationally.

A good example are the American evangelists. You would think Christians who follow the ten commandments would never vote for someone like Trump. But they do.

It seems most Americans have the president they deserve.

Trump is the least-qualified person to ever hold the office and is cementing his ranking as the worst president in American history. That is enough to destroy him and his fetid administration. Although that said I trust that a Republican candidate will stand against the man( debatable)  who will not even admit his family changed name.

That is exactly why the libtards have the upper hand despite their distasteful anti US policies- they are prepared to act
