Well, if you want the best in Thailand, get an appointment with Dr. Boonjira Anukul at BNH Hospital on Soi Convent. She also has her own clinic elsewhere, and she teaches (or taught) at Chulalongkorn. She saved me from having to get my jaw wired shut.

But if it's a simple extraction (and not two molars stuck in the bone like mine), there are other good surgeons at BNH.

To be sure of adequate analgesia and post op pain relief have it done in the dental dept of a general hospital like one of those mentioned above.

Don't you think an oral surgeon at thankin would be the same? The price is a lot less. At the hospital they want 5000-10000 at the clinic it is 1500-2500 baht.

My Thai friend just googled her in Thai. Sorry, it seems like her services can only be obtained at this time through office hours at BNH and at Mahidol University Hospital.

And I'm guessing that you may only be looking for a simple extraction, so maybe just follow Sheryl's advice and check with more affordable hospitals. Bangkok Christian Hospital, for example.

It seems Thankin has an oral surgeon on staff.  I think hospitals have a lot of germs floating around possibly anti-biotic resistant.

Hospitals are likely to observe much higher standards of cleanliness than most independent dental offices in my experience.  Hospitals are the normal treatment facility for most medical and dental needs in Thailand.

Bangkok Smile.

Private, but very high quality, latest gear. They speak English. Clinic on Asok Montri.

I recently had a lot of work done there and can recommend it.

Called in to one of their branches for a quote last week, teeth cleaning, 1,000bht.

Drove to my usual dentist Pongsakorn (Soi 2, Moonmuang), 600bht.

Needless to say BKS didn't get my business.

I'm look at Thantakit International Dental Center they have all these 5 star reviews on Google but they are by people with only 1 review!

Look suspicious.

Sillom dental?

The dental hospitals have long dates for appointments.... I'm thinking Siraj is walking distance.  Ive heard people have broken molars in their mouth for a long time without problem but i have also heard it can get infected...?
