New Cabinet wins royal endorsement

The new Cabinet led by Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha, who will also double as defence minister, has been given the royal nod.

Sontirat Sontijirawong, secretary-general of the core coalition partner Phalang Pracharat Party, has been given the Energy Ministry, which was also reportedly coveted by Suriya Juangroongruangkit, the leader of a key faction in Phalang Pracharat Party.

Phalang Pracharat leader, Uttama Savanayana, has been given the Finance portfolio even though the opposition claimed his alleged role in a 2003 Krungthai Bank loan scandal disqualified him from the post. Uttama defended himself saying that during his time as senior executive at the bank, he had nothing to do with the approval of loans to ailing property firms.

The new Cabinet will start working immediately after the ministers take their oaths before His Majesty the King, which is expected to be soon.

The new government is led by Phalang Pracharat Party, which came second in the March 24 general election but managed to build a majority in the House of Representatives by forming an 18-party coalition.

Now with the all star team it's just matter of time before

- 1 THB = 1 USD

- Thai language is used more than English

- The nasty west will learn how to 100% prevent any sort of prostitution, corruption, and human trafficking

- global poverty is resolved

Prayut & Prawit possibly the NWO global leaders in the future.

The darkness ended today, thank you.

Let the games begin....

I wonder

a) how many of the cabilnet are actually MPS and how many are Prayut's cronies?

b) are there any women amongst this elite group?

I'm not looking up all the names but if anyone happens to know please pass on the information.

Thought Wong wanted off the magic roundabout to deal with health issues like the iffy bottom end .. Other than that the top end of the list is as you might expect .. it would be naive to think it going to be any other way ...

thailand, the hub of drug dealers, who become ministers:

“In the past, there was an MP who had been prosecuted in Hong Kong for drug trafficking, but his status was not affected in Thailand,” Wissanu said. “Although his reputation among many things might have been impacted, his deeds and ethical standards have to be considered separately.”

Thammanat was once stripped of his military rank for alleged involvement in a murder case in 1998, but was reinstated after the court acquitted him.

The latest allegations against Thammanat came after Pheu Chart MP Supraipon Chuaychoo took to his Facebook on Saturday of Thammanat’s scandalous records, which he claimed Thammanat was sentenced to prison in Australia for trafficking heroin.

Supraipon said Thammanat was later transferred to serve his term in Thailand, though no records or evidence of such a trial have been publicly released.

The Constitution states that a person who is being involved in narcotics offenses or dismissed from a public position is prohibited from being elected as an MP."

Also Bangkok shutdown organisers got their toys:

"Former Yellowshirt leaders were promoted to head several ministries, including Education and Industry."

There's one prominent woman, whose name escapes me Khunying Pornthip something, and she's a piece of work!

She is not among this list.

Has two tone hair the colour of a baboons arse, yet had the gall to call out one of the future forward ladies for not wearing "widows weeds" day after old Prem died.

The younger lady in question wore a very stylish black white outfit that day, which covers mourning colours in both Asian and Western cultures.

That old aunt is as toxic as her male counterparts.

250 of the cabinet, sorry the house, were preslected, handpicked by Loong Tuu many ex-military and related hangers on.

Off the top of my head, you may find the exact numbers by looking up Thai current affairs in Wikipedia.

As the Father of Thailand, he knows what is best for His country's future...just because He holds both political and military power in this country...try not to read too much into that...he was elected by the people...don't you know...

So many posts posing as 'Deputy Prime Minister'. What a joke. Everyone, virtually, is a Deputy Prime Minister. In the past, in sensible and serious countries, there would only be one or, maximum, two Deputy Prime Ministers. Here there are almost as many as there are generals.

The whole country is a complete joke - or would be, if it were not so tragic for the ordinary Thai people, who have ZERO say in ANYTHING relating to how THEIR country is run!

This officially ends the junta, and as such Sect 44 (amongst others) is no longer available for a plaything of the PM. This also means that real politics will begin.

This also means that any member of the junta who is not in that list or an elected MP is now "retired".

All this means is that a dictator and his cronies are backed by a higher authority, someone who obviously has a special affection for Military Dictatorships.

Yes, deputies for everything. Even the cleaner women in the 'Parliament' - exalted skivvies, all lavishly salaried relatives, of course - will have deputy cleaner women at their beck and call!

Prayut as Defense Minister creates a curious conflict. It places him in control of Internal Security Operations Command (ISOC). Not only does ISOC handle military matters, but also political and social issues and places public prosecutors under ISOC's ageis.*

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internal_Security_Operations_Command#Post-2014_coup_ISOC

This is power no elected PM has had nor likely to ever have. Civilian control over the Thai military has never been allowed by the military.

*literally 'under its shield' which I take to mean 'under its authority.'

Many old and a few less than promising new faces. Combined, they will rob the country blind.

Unfortunately a large majority of Thai people don't care how or who run -(or run down) the country, especially those battling everyday to make ends meet.

That maybe true but a small majority cared enough to vote for others to run the country but alas the rules were changed after the election to install these bandits!

A shaky coalition no doubt. Frictions will come from the 12 small and micro small parties that were squeezed out of the ministerial positions. Only 6 medium size parties and former NCPO ministers have positions. The government will be busy dispensing money for the populist policies that they campaigned. With the economy facing enormous headwinds, revenues will be hard to come by and support these policies. They will have to tax and that will affect the middle income segment that supported the junta and they will not be too happy with increasing tax.

The Dem will not be happy that they didn’t secure the Finance portfolio which they need to activate their economic package to win back support for next election. They practically end up pretty bad to agreeing to the coalition. BJT will be relatively pleased and so is CTP who will be happy to pick up scraps.

That is unfortunately true.
