The Thai PM recently attended the G20 summit in Japan as chair of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean).

He looked like a duck out of water there. How can he pat himself on the back for doing absolutely zero and having the world see him as just what he is by manipulating the election so the junta stays in power?

Thanks for that. Yes, it's jogged my memory.

Nothing about anyone being imprisoned in Oz though, unless it is someone else rkidlad is referring to?

the new deputy agricultural minister was twice sentenced in australia for drug related offences. After that he was deported.

Now he is responsible for marihuana growing concessions to his friends, the bhumjaithai party is pushing for liberalisation of marihuana and this policy was the only condition from them, to join government coalition.

What australian interior, justice and foreign ministries will be thinking about this promotion to ministerial posts? Would be more drugs coming, including using diplomatic channels by corrupt thai officials?

My mama always said 'stupid is as stupid does' but she would be amazed at how far stupid has evolved.

'The government is urging opposition politicians to take into account the national interest when meeting foreign officials overseas.' You mean by telling them what it's really like?

Obviously the Thai government doesn't think that the rest of the worlds politicians know exactly what is going on in Thailand.  They can see the dictatorship for what it is.

They know they know they just don't what the Thai people  to know that they know what they know if you know what I mean?

“Our allies, including those in the EU, have reacted positively [to the government’s policies]. At the recent G20 summit, leaders from many countries showed their eagerness to cooperate with Thailand in all aspects, particularly trade and investment, on the basis of mutual respect and benefit, and equality. Things are going well,” Werachon quoted Prayut as saying

Amazing what he achieved during a quick photo shoot and handshake... the man must be a master !
