The top Under 15 teams in town were in action at the SPS Mini League on Sunday morning. Hua Hin City emerged victorious with four wins out of four while Black Mountain Hua Hin Football Academy (BMHHFA) were the best of the rest.

The tournament kicked off with BMHHFA taking on SS (B) and the former emerged victorious, with a deflected free kick the only goal of the game. Hua Hin City won their first three games without conceding a goal to surge into first place.

Meanwhile BMHFA could only draw with Vanorn Kanong but comfortably beat SS (A) to set up a decider. Going into the penultimate game Hua Hin City knew that they only needed a point to win the tournament.

Meanwhile BMHHFA were faced with the unenviable task of beating Hua Hin City in order to win the tournament.  It was a close and competitive game, with the professional club’s goalkeeper pulling off a very good save in the early exchanges.

It proved to be decisive as Hua Hin City scored the only goal of the game on the counter attack to finish top of the table, without conceding a goal all day. Meanwhile BMHHFA had to settle for second place after narrowly coming up short against the best Under 15 team in the region.

After 10 matches the table finished with Hua Hin City in top spot, BMHHFA second and Vanorn Kanong third. The Inspire Hua Hin ‘player of the tournament’ award, chosen by the match officials, went to Saenchai Pengmoon of BMHHFA.
