Highway 118 Construction

According to a notice from our headman, Highway 118 between Doi Saket and Maekhachan will be closed on July 22 and 23 to permit unimpeded construction of several bridges.

 

For 2 days, if traveling between Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai, you need to find an alternative route.  The Highway 1150 option between Wiang Pa Pao and Phrao is the shortest but for about 26km, is in terrible shape and VERY curvy and hilly.
