If you were meeting a family member and, for whatever reason, they were being held by Immigration with a possibility of them being denied entry, would it be possible to have access to the person and/or Immigration to try and assist? Presumably they could call you to explain what was happening, but if your presence would help sort the situation out, could this be done?  I'm thinking in particular if it was your wife who you were meeting, and she had your child with her?

In a worst case scenario, are children (under 5) detained with their parent in the airport detention centre, pending deportation?

No replies, so one more try.

If someone has been denied entry at Suvarnabhumi and is being held at the airport pending being sent back, how can family members, who were at the airport to meet them, get access to them in order to provide advice, cash and find out what's happening?  If the person has a small child with them (who is not technically being denied entry, but is dependent on the person who has been) does this affect matters.  Would it be possible for the child to be allowed to go with the family members who are at the airport?

Is there an Immigration Office at the airport that is accessible by family members?
