Party-list MP Watanya Wongopasi of coalition leader Phalang Pracharath gives a speech supporting the new government's policies during the parliamentary session on Friday (July 26).

The first-time MP, who is also known by her nickname “Madam Dear”, addressed four key policies focusing on technology -- building of technological infrastructure, integration of technology in state functions, support for business startups and so-called ecosystem, and amendments of outdated laws and regulations together with ethical improvement in society.

I'd be interested to know exactly what she means by 'amendments of outdated laws'.

I would hope that might mean cancelling or removing from the statute books.

There seem to be so many out these laws which are only brought out when it suits some particular group or person, and ignored the rest of the time.

I guess she is referring to the clamp down on the ethicalness of TM30 fines and foreigners being subjected to being tracked like a wild animals?

she added "thank you Prime Minister Prayut Sir for allowing us to take our seats here in Parliament without the votes. It was extremely smart of you, Sir, to change the rules via EC after the election and ban many deplorable's"

Ha ha ha! Very funny! Have you ever thought of telling these sort of jokes as a full time career?

Irrespective of all that then by her looks I would certainly like to have a one to one with her to discuss her opinions and delve further into how she got the nickname of "Madam Dear" ????

These are not the new government's policies at all. Did the full government including opposition parties have any say in the policies? They are PM Prayut's and the Phalang Pracharath Party policies enforced on the government in the usual junta style.

My understanding is that Prayut presented them to parliament fait accompli.

That's the nature of politics when you control the Executive Branch and majority of Parliament.

The only difference this time 'around the block' is that if and when PM Prayut fails to successfully execute his policy plans, he can be mercilessly and publicly criticized in the parliament by the opposition coalition parties without retribution.

If his policies promote corruption, he will take the blame for malfeasance negligence. Before the 2019 election Prayut was by analogy both Head and Tail of government. Now he is only the Head.

Exactly the same as any parliament in the world!

As well as the "club" aka the military.

What new government? You can't see the forest through the trees. Same old trees. Same old government.
